Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI loved the location! I was off the main road but faced the small town so you could see everything going on. It was very easy to access without having to deal with going in to "check in". They just text you with your room number and code to the door. There was a laundry facility a block away on the same side of the street which was so simple. I just popped my clothes in and set a timer to come back so I was able to walk around town. In the early morning hours, before the sun comes up, I went outside and couldn't BELIEVE I was in a small town with other people there because of how quiet and still everything was. I went the first week in September and missed the summer crowds. It was fabulous.

United StatesThe stairs to get up were challenging for us and even younger people struggled getting luggage up. Parking was tough, The restaurant let us park our car and trailer in their parking lot.
For Silverton it is decent and great location. We had 2 queen beds but room is very small.

United StatesThere is no breakfast in the hotel. During the winter season, think about the breakfast before arrival because all of the restaurants around are not open every day, so better be prepared.
Nicely located historical building.

United StatesReally bummed that only the two front rooms have the balcony. Had I known that I would have gotten on of these specifically.
We loved the location and the restaurant downstairs is hands down the best Mexican restaurant we have ever been too.

United StatesNothing wrong with this place, but Silverton is a bit of a ghost town this time of year so there wasn't much around.
We were breaking up the trip between Montrose and Purgatory, so Silverton was the right spot. Self check-in and a block off the main street made this easy.

United StatesWalls are a bit thin--I could hear neighbors, luckily everyone went to bed on time.
Great spot and a nice little room. A great place to stay if coming back from the wilderness. Efficient check-in was great. Shower is glorious--I might stay here again after hiking the CT solely because of the shower.

United StatesI was in Room #6 that overlooked the restaurant outdoor seating area. This made for some loud evenings and hard to get to bed early before people finally called it a night.
I loved the location and the El Bandito restaurant below the rooms.

United StatesThe price was too high for the room and amenities. The room would benefit from some basics like hooks, surface space and a chair or two. Despite calling before our trip, parking instructions were a little vague for an oversized vehicle.
The room was basic but comfortable and very clean. The aromatherapy bath products were a nice touch. We received text instructions with a door code prior to arrival so we never interacted with any staff. We were in a side room so there was a mountain view over the parking lot. The front room had a balcony on the street side which would be nice. The town is a step back in time and the surrounding area beautiful.

United StatesSo, just a couple of things. There was a coffee maker but no sugar at all (except sweet n low) and only two half and half containers (I take 3 just for one cup of coffee) so my partner and I could only have one each. No other creamers either (the dry kind). Only one face towel for two persons. Most of the time you had to enter the door code at least twice and sometimes more than that to get the door to open. I realize the building must be very old but still, the creaking of the floor when somebody walked in the room adjacent to ours or when we were walking in our room was very disturbing. The other room got up around 6 a.m. and the loud creaking woke us up much earlier than we wanted.
The room itself was very nice and comfortable. The value was very reasonable. The location was excellent. Loved the balcony!
