Although the neighborhood is the most beautiful in all of Washington, it was a bit of a walk — but that wasn’t a problem and didn’t stop us from having a wonderful time!

We loved every little detail in the guesthouse!Both indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful,clean and spacious and we felt extremely comfortable! All the amenities were great and we liked the cosy vibes during breakfast time, which was excellent! The neighborhood and general area was dreamy – stunning like a painting and definitely the most beautiful we saw in Washington! The staff was amazing, answering all of our questions from the very beginning and helping us with everything throughout our stay. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts – we truly hope we’ll be able to come back someday! Sending our warmest greetings from Greece!!!:)

This was a friendly, inviting place that was in a lovely neighborhood. We were located within a half mile of the metro and used this to get around. Coffee, fresh fruit, water, and snacks were available 24/7. This was close to many great restaurants and the stay couldn't have been better.

A little bit more variety for breakfast could be nice. We stayed just few nights so it was OK.

We had the room just at the top of the stairs and the door was quite thin which meant I woke up every morning when the staff started to put out breakfast and you can hear the loud beeps from your neighborhoods lockpad on their door. Our shower head was leaking, which the manager got checked out really fast, but the could not fix it right away which led to a constant dripping sound in the room. We solved it by closing the bathroom door but this made it really hot and humid in their without the AC. None of these were dealbreakers and we really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is really cosy and the staff made you feel comfortable before even stepping in the door. We really enjoyed our room and since we were in Washington during a heatwave we spent some time just relaxing with the AC on. The breakfast is good and self-service and some items are available throughout the day such as coffee, tea and other beverages. I woke early because of jetlag and it was nice to be able to go down and make a cup of tea before breakfast officially started. Free water bottles was also really nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Although we were a bit sceptical at first, the keyless system worked really well and was programmed so we could let ourselves in when arriving late. There is also a Market across the street open late where you can buy snacks or prepared meals.

The Poppy feels like a home away from home. Super cute and comfortable boutique hotel in Georgetown. Great neighborhood, helpful staff and a well designed communal space for breakfast and gathering with guests. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Poppy had such a homey and welcoming quality. The room was impeccably clean and spacious. Loved the ambience, and the manager and staff were so friendly and helpful. Was sad to leave! This place is a real gem!!
