It was hard to get anyone to clean the rooms, and when the maids did come, they left us with 0 towels. The room curtains could also use an upgrade. It gets very bright in the morning.

It was a nice property, with a pool, basketball courts and nice grounds to walk around. There is an excellent restaurant - Goosefeather- on premise.

We didn’t care for the parking situation, the lots filled up quickly and we had to park far from our room entrance. We also didn’t like how small the bathroom was, there wasn’t much space to even sit on the toilet. Also the shower was clogged and when you showered you’d be standing in a few inches of water. We also decided to go elsewhere and eat as the price for breakfast was too expensive.

We loved the location and convenience to everything. We also loved the grounds and the staff was very friendly at the front desk. Rooms were clean also. There were reviews regarding the place being dated, the room we stayed in was fine. The only thing that was really dated was the carpet but who cares. Not sure where all the negative reviews came from.

A little dated in parts. The swimming pool could do with a clean.

The buffet for $25 per person is ridiculous when there are no other options. The King Mansion without an elevator is a negative as is the restaurant closing at 8:00.

The room was below our expectations. The shower pressure was unusually low. The sink faucet leaked. The toilet was functionally obsolete. The iron was deficient. Ants attacked our fruit on top of the refrigerator. We would have liked a safe in our room.

The grounds were beautiful. Parking was plentiful. The air conditioning in the room was very good.

Room was a bit dated and it was quite strange that the door from the hallway opened immediately to a staircase.

Beautiful grounds that really invited you to sit and relax. Enjoyed so many places to lounge and relax on campus as opposed to some hotels that really feel like just a place to sleep.

It's an old property with many buildings linked together. That can get a bit labyrinth like at times, but we figured it out pretty quickly!

It was so nice to have multiple dining options on the hotel grounds in addition to being so close to several cute Main Street areas with restaurants & shopping. On Saturday evening they had a DJ out on the front lawn playing some great background misic making it a great spot for a beverage before a nighttime tour of the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery!

Good value for the cost, but request a room near reception to avoid all the stairs.

It is logistically challenging. The interior is a labyrinth and if you are not superhuman you will struggle to take your bags up and down all the stairs. There is 1 elevator that is hard to find and if you want to avoid stairs you have to go outside and well out of the way. A mother with her baby asked me, exhausted, where the elevator was and I couldn’t even tell her - so we carried her stroller up and down the many flights of stairs. Other than that, the bathroom needs to be renovated - the sink didn’t drain, the doorstop was off its hinge and the bathroom door didn’t close properly and was chipped.

    Peaceful with great staff

There was an adjoining room to ours, and the guests watched TV all night. The sound was so loud it was as if it were our TV. I was forced to call the front desk at 2:30 A.M to call the room and have their TV turned off. This occurred on two consecutive nights. It spoiled our stay.

    Beautiful grounds, excellent staff.

It’s important to know that some buildings do not have an elevator. This did not deter me, there is a staff to help if needed. Room was kind of cold for me with the AC with no way to adjust, so I did ask for extra blankets which hotel brought very promptly. Window in the room was broken so I couldn’t open it.

I love the actual grounds they are really exceptional and well taken care of, beautiful to walk around and look at. Pool area was so nice to swim and the lifeguard was great. Room worked well, everything was very clean. Very comfortable bedding and soft sheets. Really enjoyed all the shampoos/conditioners/lotions provided. Hotel staff is exceptional, everyone was so professional and kind. The restaurant is absolutely exceptional! Food and staff are top notch. Every single dish was incredible. Have a nut allergy and they were so accommodating and did not have an issue at all. Mocktails were so good too.

The restaurant that was open didn't accommodate my 87 yr old Dad. Asked for extra towels but didn't get any face cloths. No cream for the coffee for 2 days ::(
