The restaurant was not good. My salad was barely dressed and there was some slimy lettuce in my salad. The shower needed to be scrubbed with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, as there was soap scum in the tub.

The staff was very pleasant. We enjoyed the nature walk with the naturalist.

Though out our entire stay there was an internet outage in the lodge, cellular internet was also very spotty inside the hotel.

Excellent hotel with nice view of the mountains. Restaurant and gift shops were great.

We stayed two nights and were not informed in advance that there was no housekeeping service, unless we specifically asked for it. So garbage was not removed and new towels were not provided, unless we asked. But when we did ask, they responded quickly. The price is very high for the services/amenities provided.

Staff were friendly and provided information when requested. Room was clean on arrival. Good parking area. Location is good, but unfortunately, for us, the weather was not good, so even though we paid extra to have the mountain view rooms, we were not lucky enough to see the mountains. However, we did see a moose strolling along outside our bedroom window. We liked the hikes in the area and the ease of getting in to the main town to explore.

Loved the view of Denali and the general setup of the lobby and surrounding area. It was very centrally located for us to participate in our first Oosik ski race, with the shuttle coming right to the parking lot. It was also a really great touch that they offer to let you know if the northern lights are expected to be out. We loved our stay!

Our room was directly beside the stairwell and elevator. There was noise much of the night from both. I told this to the manager who offered another room but we didn’t want to repack and move for one night. However I wonder why we were given a seemingly “last” room when others were available? Also, I made this reservation 3 months ago. Seems like we would have secured a better room also. For $400, the lodge could have done much better. We won’t stay here again.

We had to chase after getting the room refreshed after making the requests in the morning before heading out. A bit disappointing to return in the afternoon to find the room wasn't ready. It would have been great for us if this was closer to the national park, but I don't think we'd have gotten the gorgeous view.

This is a great location to see Mt Denali (conditions permitting) and the Alaska Range. You can't really see Mt Denali when in the national park. The lobby feels like a old-time national park lodge.

I ended up paying more than the total price listed on booking.com. My receipt detailed that the booking.com price included the amenities fee, but the hotel charged me the amenity fee again, which made me pay more than the price listed on booking.com. I inquired with the hotel manager and they made it seem like booking.com did not include the amenity fee even though my receipt detailed that it was included. I did not feel the need to fight about it, so I left it as it was and paid the extra amenity fee. For a one night stay, it was an expensive place but Talkeetna is remote, so I understand the pricing, just wish I knew I would pay more than expected.

It was a well maintained property with northern lights wake up call. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. There is complimentary tubing/sledding on the property, but please exercise caution. I injured my neck while tubing and wish I would have been more prepared with safety precautions beforehand.

It was difficult to get to town for breakfast or dinner with the limited hours of the shuttle. We wanted to go out for drinks one evening but short of walking/biking did not have a way to town and back.

The view of Denali was awesome. The great room and Northern room's furniture was super comfortable and great atmosphere. loved having e-bikes for trips. convienent shuttle services, but they started late 10am forcing guests to their overpriced breakfast buffet ($26pp) and end early.

Only grab & go breakfast, not hot, cheese stuck to the wrapping ☹️. They need pillow options, I saw a review that the pillows were too fat so I brought my own, glad I did—way too fat for a typical neck

Food was a little bit pricey.

The lodge is an excellent place to stay overnight when driving from Anchorage to Denali. Shuttle service to/from center of Talkeetna was very convenient. There are many common areas with beautiful views of the Alaskan mountain range. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a wonderful stay.
