The room smelled odd -- a little damp and mildew-y -- but we got used to it after a little bit. We didn't realize we wouldn't get new towels or have our beds made up. No big deal to keep the same linens, but the info card about "staying green" was a tiny sticker on the bathroom mirror that was barely visible. Normally, I expect that my bed is at least made up (with the same sheets) and that if I throw a towel in the tub/floor, I'll get one to replace it, but it was clear no one ever looked in our room to check if we needed something. For the amount we paid, I don't think it's asking much to just have our beds made. Also, it said they would do our rooms after three days. We were there four days, and had no housekeeping service at all. So if there was makeup smudged on the wash cloth, it was because there was only one makeup removal wipe and I used it the first night. Would have liked a sheer curtain as well as a blackout curtain so light could come in but the whole parking lot couldn't see us. Also, the hairdryer didn't work.

The woman at the front desk, Kim, was wonderful -- friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant. She made us feel like we were staying with friends. Also: The room was spotless. The shower was great -- hot, forceful. The towels were large enough and not too thin as one might expect at a Super 8. I was glad to see there was some breakfast offered, which, though not ample, was a welcome surprise. Refrigerator was spacious, and had a little freezer -- perfect to keep our freezer block for our cooler frozen. And a microwave -- excellent! Also, really appreciated the info card about some of the outlets not working if the switch was off. (Not an issue for us, but considerate to let guests know!) The beds were VERY comfortable, and the pillows were great. GREAT to have easy parking, too!

Everything was great, but a bike rack would be convenient for those of us who like biking around town.

Nice, affordable stay just a few blocks from Park Rapids' charming main street. Also convenient if you're planning on biking the Heartland trail, and a good "home base" for visiting the Itasca Park. Spacious room, microwave/fridge are included, and the breakfast was decent too. Would stay here again!

Television system was not working…abit of a disappointment. Boiled eggs were not available on second day…hadn’t arrived yet for breakfast. The microwave needs to be placed on a table; the access now requires a person to kneel in the floor!

The location was great for our needs. The breakfast was also great, everything we would want. The room was clean, although a little musty smelling, but nothing too bad. Bed was comfortable and the amenities were up to par for the price of the room.

Breakfast was just ok, not a big selection of pastries. Lighting in bathroom is awful! Very hard to see. Property was clean but needs a lot of updating.

The office clerk helped us so willingly when the first room we got had an odd smell I didn’t like. She moved us without question. And—was super sweet. The breakfast was better than most.

An elevator would be awesome, but again only because I had torn ligaments in my foot, on a regular day it would not have been a big deal.

Breakfast was good, I was excited because I love bran muffins. The staff was the best, seriously Travis was AMAZING, I have meds that cannot be frozen and he let us check in a bit early so we weren't late for the event we came to town for.
