How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff gave us a room that was not clean, when addressing it he implied that we messed it up and wanted verification of what we said. When giving us a different room, he said he needed to look at before giving us the keys to room. His demeanor for a front desk associate was rude and less than appealing.

The gentleman on the desk when I checked in was not friendly, no real greeting, monosyllabic replies, no thanks, etc. My toilet wouldn't flush unless I removed the tank lid and pulled up on the chain inside. I didn't want to call the front desk because it was late, and I didn't want my dogs to bark and wake up anyone. Finally, breakfast was very disappointing, a tiny muffin and, I believe, some coffee. Last time I stayed here, there were breakfast sandwiches and juice. This time, I was charged for my dogs whereas the last time they were free. I am okay with paying for them. I'm sure it requires additional cleaning. I know that we pay a lower price to stay here, but things like friendly staff, cleaned grassy areas, and working toilets are the basics.
The room was clean, and there were plenty of grassy areas to walk my dogs although many other people had walked theirs and not cleaned up after them. It was quiet, which was welcome after driving all day. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Location is good For cmac. Parking lot is a disaster with huge holes that need to be patched. Breakfast is a joke. They had a thermos of coffee and individual slices of bread in baggies. Needless to say when we left we stopped at Denny’s for coffee and breakfast

Their "superstar" breakfast is a joke. Yogurt coffee and mini muffin. Nothing else. I payed way too much for this 3 star hotel. The room was not very clean

It was not clean - there were pretzels and a beer bottle cap on the floor. The floors were dusty. The walls must be very thin bc we could hear lots of walking around from the floor above us, and the tvs of the people around us. The continental breakfast was very subpar - apples, juice, coffee, unappealing packaged muffins. Two days there was also yogurt, but not on the third day.

The duvet cover had stains on it. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned after two nights. The coffee maker was missing a piece. The room smelled like smoke. The telephone in our room did not work. The so-called continental breakfast was not even worth bothering with.
Alexa was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. She went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met and was very pleasant.

2 level building but no elevator, very worn down facility, needs a lot of upgrades/renovations. And let’s stop calling a bag with a dry muffin and a bottle of water a breakfast - it’s not. Big potholes in the parking lot.

They had no Kleenex. No breakfast. I could hear the people in the next room arguing. My TV didn't work when I got in the room.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever felt, literally we didn't sleep because it felt like a rock. We woke up sore and uncomfortable.
