How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There isn’t a coffee maker for those that drink coffee and extra blankets would have been nice.
Hi! The property was clean and the front desk manager was so professional, friendly and kind. The check in process was smooth and easy. We stayed for one night.

The toilet blocks if you put anything in it, the shower tap was damaged and water pressure is poor.

No tub stopper...ask before after hours Trick to the stove top? You have to dial the wall first to turn it on. Other than that? No complaints. Few unidentified pubes in the tub was gross, but rinse first as usual. Again... the price was what you pay for, but totally fine for a short nap. I wouldn't take my kids there, nice overall solo business night stay.
It was clean and good location for both of my work shifts for a night up north (i live south austin). Allowed me early check in. Staff was friendly and courteous. They have kitchen supplies, and $25 deposit is fine. People steal whatever isn't literally nailed down so I get it. That said, asking ahead didn't help. Had to request at check in, but they did have someone help take it up to my room. 2nd floor. Still haven't seen my deposit back, but that's also expected. It usually takes a day or 2. Decent stay. I wouldn't take a family there, but still for work,? Perfectly acceptable. ✔️ Great price for what you pay for if you just need a place to sleep and have your stuff safely locked up

The bed was right next to the ac, so you couldn’t feel the air conditioning as well as you should have. The bed was mounted so you couldn’t move it over.

Bathroom could have been cleaner, walls needs to be scrubbed down. Towels should be replaced if they are stained (not clean white).
Location was good. Price was cheap. Staff was friendly. Parking lot was well lit, so my truck was safe.

Microwave, toilet seat and bathtub were in a bad shape. Saw one cockroach and we didn't like each other. Wanted to give it a 6, but decided to add 1 star for the friendly staff.

I'd they are more proactive toward time and money us harder on a dollar then it was ten years ago but I have a reservation with them from yesterday when I told the woman the reservation numbers were different they weren't the same and I ended up being held on 88 bucks by the card and the triangle passing of direct express booking dotcom and atudio6 all touching data within there nets with my Money and booking.com supposedly has a 60 day wa8t8ng period for refunds and that's not Kool for them to hold my MOney up with a system that works within its subconscious is corruptly steLimg scheming stressing and stretching a root of good and evil with core dirt of the customer getting last what was originally his by a system design Ed for a wire to benofit at three pushed if a button three. Housekeeping lazy. Walls sticky, coffee pot so bad I went and bought one. Sheets were covered in stains.. a lot of things I usually wouldn't have been okay with but with the area it was in it was worth it to deal with a little gross room.
Out of all the areas in Austin I felt the safest at this hotel. It's right off the highway but it's got little picnic tables and their isn't any of the hundreds of homeless people outside.
