I liked the location and the owner was extremely informative about the area. Breakfast was excellent without being too fancy. The fresh bread reminded me of my great-grandma's bread. The room was comfortable.

Nothing!!! Everything was amazing. If walking be prepared to go up the long steep hill that is challenging in the heat but that had nothing to do with Jims home just got better views when you get there.

Jim is amazing and super helpful. The house was beautiful and the views were great! The location was very quiet and relaxing! Loved the wooden puzzles and when we finished the first two Jim noticed and put two more out for us the next morning😊. The bread was really good, the orange marmalade was delicious, and proved to be the perfect breakfast for a day in Herman, MO.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. The property is very comfortable, clean and attractive. It is in an excellent location for visitors to Hermann, Missouri. Our host, Jim, was very pleasant and accommodating, and even provided home-made bread. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Great place to stay. The breakfast was homemade bread and jams, as stated on the website. It was very good, and I was able to bring the leftovers with me. The bedroom was upstairs with an attached bathroom, and there was a sitting room and dining area downstairs. There was a small fridge with a freezer and coffee and tea were available. The host was very gracious and gave tips on places to visit in town during my stay.

Jim Allen was an extremely courteous and friendly host who explained everything in detail and offered suggestions on locations to visit and facilities to dine at. His B&B was extremely clean and quiet. His breads and jams in the mornings were scrumptious.

Another lovely stay at this location! Everything is clean and tidy. This place is very private. We rented both rooms for our group. One room is slightly larger than the other, but the decor in the smaller room is much more fun!

Nothing would have made our stay better! It was perfect! Just two suggestions: 1) have the housecleaner wipe the dust off the tops of the bathroom lights - it is not bad, but is right at eye level (for me anyway!). 2) A bathroom fan with a more powerful "draw" will keep your place lovely for longer. The fan in there right now works, but takes awhile to dissipate the steam. If you get the steam out quicker, it will protect your floors, woodwork, paint, etc. I want to iterate that these ae NOT complaints!! Just suggestions to keep the property in good shape so we can return often!

The proprietor was friendly and very available, explaining everything as we checked in. The breakfast was lovely, especially the bread! Our room was clean and tidy. It was extremely easy to get in and out. Parking was close. Climate control was specific to the room and worked flawlessly. I loved the decor of the room! It gave the feel of the theme without being in your face about it. The gecko is my favorite! We had a very quiet and enjoyable stay! For anyone wondering about the views from the north or south, we had the south room and were quite happy with it.
