We were unpleasantly surprised at the lack of selection and lower quality of the breakfast at this location compared to the Staybridge we stayed at in Madison. Inconsistency between locations is a concern for future stays. We found a big stain on one of the pillows, which made us uncomfortable as to the cleanliness of everything else in the room. The hallway rugs were pretty dirty and had litter, which also added to the cleanliness concerns of our room.

We had a nice stay in April at a Staybridge Suite in Madison, Wisconsin and we returned for a stay at this location because of our pleasant experience at the Staybridge in Madison, including the size and layout of the one-bedroom suite with a sofa bed in a separate room. We liked the room at the Independence location for those same reasons. For the most part it was quiet.

Problem night staff. I had a noisy neighbor and finally called front desk 1230 AM and asked them to please call them to ask them to please lower their volume on their talking and laughing. Front desk refused saying they would only call if they had loud music. Whats the difference between loud music and loud talking and laughing? Whats the harm in asking a guest to be a little quieter when all their neighbors are sleeping. Front desk person was also abrupt and didnt seem to want to help. HUH?

no waffle machine, breakfast was subpar. major construction on the floor. refrigerator was not working. bathroom sinks and tubs needs to be clean out to let the water drained. and also, the smell of Marijuana could be smell in the building.

The internet connection is unreliable and not stable enough for constant working travelers. The pullout sofa abuts the TV dresser and pathways are blocked. Thin walls= hearing the snoring neighbor clearly. Halls and lobby feel dim/shadowy/not well lit. Elevator feels unsafe.

The location is close to amenities and attractions without being in the middle and feeling overwhelmed by it all. There are TONS of food options within close range. Close to the highway without being up against the noise. In a suite, there is plenty of seating for 4 people without feeling cramped. It's a good separation from a work space to a sleeping space.

My bathroom sink was a little clogged and the toilet didn't flush well. Had to have staff take a look and fix them. The problem was still with the toilet after it was fixed. However, the guy came to the room quickly and was professional.

Room was a little rough and not real clean fingerprints and handprints on mirrors bathroom covered in caulking a little tacky considering it is a pretty nice hotel wouldn't have been so bad if the caulk would have been color matched with the tan color instead of white caulking smeared around the ceiling and on every seam. The room didn't match the photos on website also was supposed to have a walk-in shower and was stuck with a bathtub room didn't seem to be what I booked nor what I saw in the photos nor was it as nice as it was the last time I stayed here probably should have said something but we were very tired and ready to relax

Other than the first employee everyone else was rude. The initial room we were put into was not the room we had booked so we had to go down and ask for the room we booked. Dirty utensils in the kitchen area and the bathtub was broken and cheaply "fixed". No ice machine and when we asked where to get ice they rudely told us that we were supposed to turn on the ice machine in the freezer when we got in the room. Paid for a king size suite and ended up getting stuck in a queen size suite with no credit given back.

About the only good thing about this place was the location. The first employee we came in contact with was kind but after that everything was a nightmare.

The toilet wasn't flushing and it took most of the day for anyone to even come fix it. They wouldnt bring us up more blankets. There was no blankets in the room for the sofa bed. There was only 2 towels in the room for 3 guests. The toilet paper was almost empty. The front desk clerks were rude.

I paid for a room with a KING bed and a sofa bed and since the room door was jammed (damaged) i was move to a smaller room with a full bed with a sofa. Very uncomfortable after a day in a park. There were bugs in the room.
