The rooms were clean but there were a couple of things that were missed. We found a candy wrapper behind one of the beds and a pill that had been dropped on the floor.

The staff was friendly and the location was great. Close to downtown Saugatuck, Douglas Beach and Opal Beach. The outside area was very nice with fire pits, plenty of seating, pool and hot tub.

The lighting in the rooms is very stark and harsh, some warmer colored light bulbs in the lamps would be more relaxing. Breakfast was a bit lacking for a resort and the price. Some fresh fruit would be nice.

The pool was nice, clean and well enjoyed. Fire pits are a good touch.

The location is fantastic, Close to everything. Clean and friendly indeed. I would stay again for sure. Quaint and feels very safe. The fire department and sheriffs office was directly across.

Lots of light came in from under the curtains.

Simple but had everything we needed. A nice property. Lots of amenities. Good location. Good price for the area.

Most important the room was very clean. We had Jr Suite and loved the extra room. Although only interaction was upon check in front desk very friendly and informed us breakfast hours, pool hours etc. Everything we needed during stay. Room and bed comfortable. Centrally located to attractions. Despite being on busy road sits back so didn't hear road noise. Other guests were quiet too. Highly recommend in fact already did to friend.

We were very impressed with the Starlite Resort. The room was very quiet with nice bedding and comfortable mattresses. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The breakfast had a large selection of choices. Everything was very clean.

Water pressure was little iffy during peak shower time. The bed in our room was too firm and too small. Queen sized bed with two adults and an 80 lb dog was a tight fit - next time we'll opt for a room with a king size.

Cute little family owned motel, dog friendly and well maintained grounds. Room was clean and spacious enough to include our pup and the crate. The hot water pool was my stand out after our day at the lake was a bust due to biting flies. Location is outstanding, right off blue star highway.

This little motel was perfect for a last minute trip to Michigan. Loved the decor and the state of the room. Knowing it was older, had some concern about upkeep, but the room was in perfect shape. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was warm and good water pressure. Lots of space to bring our bikes inside. Appreciative of the fridge. Loved the chairs on the porch as they made for great conversation with other visitors (which really seems to be a thing of the past). The staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved all of the outdoor spaces; the pool, the hot tub (which was actually very nice & warm!), the cabanas we enjoyed in the rain one evening, and gas grills! Saw several families enjoying these spaces dining, playing cards and having a splendid time.

Would have liked bed to be a little more comfortable. I slept very well.

Manager was so helpful and so funny! Also, prompt when I came in for help. I love the furnishings in the lobby and the room! The lamps looked really cool and provided plenty of light. Also, there was an overhead light. Best lighting of any hotel I have ever been to!

There was no water in the vending machine. It was completely sold out. We really wanted water.

The location was fabulous! Super close to downtown Saugatuck & a short drive to downtown Holland! The rooms were quiet, clean, bed was comfy and the shower water pressure was strong! They had a nice pool which we admired from afar since it was a little too cold to go in. We arrived later than expected & Rachel sent a text with good info on where to find our room key! Everything was explained really well.
