Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis hotel is in the heart of Manhattan and serves as a comfortable base for people who don't want to waste their holiday time in the hotel. The room was reasonable size, older but clean decoration, well staffed with a small-choice breakfast selection and 2 great coffee pod machines. It is a great position for walking to Times Sq., Grand central, Rockafeller complex. Wall Street, Hudson Yd, Brooklyn bridge are all 40 mins walk along major Avenues lined with shops and eateries. It was exactly what we hoped it would be. Koreatown felt welcoming and safe, the H-Mart opposite has great choice of groceries and hot eat-in/take-away meals.

United StatesCarpet was wet for two days on my side of the bed. Not sure if that was dripping from the ceiling or what happened. One elevator for so many floors sometimes makes you wait long - especially if you live on 12th floor.
Location is great, staff is great, room was spacious, quiet and bed was very comfortable.

RomaniaThe fact that windows which were not to the street were towards another building at 1 m away, so almost no natural light. Breakfast could be a bit more varied, apme eggs would help.
Location, location, location! But also room was clean, nice bed, quite quiet if you are not at the street.

AustraliaThe shower was not very strong and the water was only just hot enough.
Beds and pillows were comfortable. The location was close to Penn Station which was a bonus and the room had all the facilities we needed. The use of the dining room for a hot drink was terrific and well received as was the ability to leave our bags after checkout until we departed.

SpainOne elevator for such a bit hotel, they need another one or at least larger one. There was no ramp for the suitcase to roll up the stairs, so I had to lift it. There was a doorman probably for that.
The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, toilet was not the best design. Overall was great!

RomaniaBreakfast doesn't vary from day to day, if you stay for a week it might get boring.
The location is perfect for visiting New York City, traveling out of town, and for business. You're practically in Herald Square, 2 minutes from Macys. The American-style breakfast is good, and there's coffee to go all day.

United KingdomThe breakfast option was not very good. Hot food was little hot dog sausages and mash potatoes. Yogurts and bagels were ok. The breakfast room is too small for the amount of guests. Only 1 lift which can't be helped but meant long wait times especially in the morning. The view was of a brick wall despite being on 11th floor. No coffee machine in the room or ice machine but I could get Ice from the bar. No lounge facilities other than the bar/ breakfast room so when you wanted to chill out the only option was your room.
Location is excellent for seeing the sights of Manhatten. The subway is a few yards from the hotel. Friendly staff especially the barman, the doorman kept the homeless and drug addicts away from the hotel. luggage storage was available after checked out. Clean hotel and room.

United StatesThe pillows were too soft, so I didn’t have neck support and I woke up with neck pain. Also, too much noise on fridays and Saturday nights so I couldn’t sleep good on those days.
I liked that they have a breakfast room on the second floor that is open throughout the day in case you want to heat something up in the microwave or have a coffee.

United KingdomSome of the staff were new and subsequently we were unnecessarily delayed at reception a couple of times, which was a little frustrating but this is a minor niggle.
The location of the hotel slap bang in the centre of Manhatten right by the Empire State Building is fantastic. You can easily walk to many of the main attractions with the Subway also very close to the hotel. The room was basic but clean, with a well-equipped bathroom including a powerful shower, fresh towels and toiletries. Beds were good with fresh linen. Staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful.
