Breakfast could have been better, nothing but carbs and sugar. Extra charge if you wanted a microwave or fridge in your room. Very small TV. Hot tub in strange place, had to climb into it to close window blinds, difficult for older people.

Lakeside location, friendly staff, lots of outdoor activities, great for families with young kids.

Noise level, walls and floors are a little thin, but it's a very clean older hotel with lots of character so it's a trade off.

Breakfast was cereal, fruit and donuts. They did have a pancake machine. Pools were very nice but a long walk to the ones not for kids. Room is older, no fridge or microwave. Need a shuttle to the pool.

The bed was not comfortable. It was too firm with little cushion on the top. The breakfast could have had a few more choices for gluten restricted diets.

The staff was great. They were friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The property was an excellent location and had great views. You could get to most places on Marblehead and Danbury within 15 a minute drive.

The “Breakfast included” left a lot to be desired.. The coffee was watery, there were no bowls for oatmeal-the only thing that I might have eaten. They ran out of bananas. We had to drive into Marblehead to a cafe to get a decent breakfast.

Conveniently located to Marblehead Ferry dock for Kelly’s Island and everything Marblehead has to offer, including the Lighthouse. The resort itself is pretty.

We did not sleep but a few hours as the people above us ran their jacuzzi through the night and it was loud. So were they. With our two grandkids being so tired from the fun day we thought they would sleep great us too, but unfortunately terrible night. We could not sit outside and use our balcony which had a beautiful view of the lake because the people below us were chain smoking morning til night!

The resort had a pool for just the kids that our grandkids really enjoyed! The park and the fishing pier were also fun. The bonfire at night was a great bonus.

Beds were the hardest I've ever had. We didn't get much sleep because of it. Pillows were thin and hard.

No refrigerator in the room, had to request one, breakfast was terrible, only cakes some bread, there was no eggs ,bacon, potatoes etc…green bananas not ready to eat, only one pancake machine available to all guests, air conditioner was too close to the bed blowing cold air right on you had to put a towel in front of it to be able to sleep. Very expensive for what it offers. Jacuzzi in the room was good but no mineral salts offered to enhance and improve the water quality. Very disappointed, I was expecting a lot more.

Not necessarily a dislike, more like a better accommodation; toilet was too short/low, hot breakfast. Saturday evening kids were splashing in the quiet pool, and the parents left the kids alone to go off and take pictures. Definitely, not a deal breaker. We will definitely request our future stays at South Beach Hotel. Thank you

1st time to Marblehead/Put in Bay, me and my sister's stay was better than we expected. Staff/exchange student were very welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated Rick; he was a wealth of knowledge and helped us find different places to experience during our stay.
