We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThere were multiple piles of dog poop (I counted 6) throughout the back yard when we arrived, which wasn’t awesome. Before leaving, we picked it all up along with our own dog’s poo. We tried to build a fire in the fire pit out back but it was full of wet ash that needs to be emptied. It wasn’t very relaxing out back due to endless screaming coming from the house next door (to the north). The couch was terribly uncomfortable and the blinds in the larger bedroom were broken, which need to be fixed if you want your guests to enjoy privacy during their stay.
This place was adorable with a nice big backyard and comfortable beds. We loved how dog friendly it was and that a dog bowl and dog bed were provided! We also loved that it was just a short walk to the Siletz Bay and Pelican Brewing.

United StatesWhen we arrived the washing machine was broken with a sign stating "Out of order, sorry". Laundry (sheets perhaps) was left in the machine submerged in water. An unpleasant odor was coming from the machine. By the following day the smell of the wet, dirty laundry was starting to permeate through the house. Fortunately, the weather was lovely, and the doors and windows could be left open to air out the house. I did alert the owners to the situation, but they did not respond. I also recommend to bring your own towels as the home is not well stocked.
Very lovely home that is located in a excellent location. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is clean and well stocked.

United StatesThe furniture (except for the beds) were so uncomfortable. The couches have inverted cushions that made you sit lower than the frame. This meant the bar of the frame was digging into your legs at all times.
