How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Never could get the tv to work.
Breakfast was wonderful, spacious room and relatively quiet for being across from a Love’s truck stop.

- was never informed of the $75 dog charge. -- booked room with one card but upon arrival switched to another. The hold is for 5 days after we checked out. This is ridiculous. -- refrigerator froze pur items.

Someone's trash was behind the night stand. Not an area you would normally see, unless you drop something behind there.
Bed was nice, comfortable. Great having a chair and footstool.

The tub and the sink faucet and handles were very old and not so clean. We thought we asked for a handicap rm, so the wheelchair was tight. We could have switched, but we were not there much!
I liked being able to get to my car easily. The bed was very comfortable

The breakfast was not the best. We got to breakfast before 7 and the oatmeal was very thick like it had been sitting there since yesterday. And the pastries were gross. The omelet and sausage were good, though. There was also an odor like rotten garbage…maybe they were near a landfill? It was strong near the entrance, but it smelled okay inside. It was just a turnoff to smell that before walking into the lobby.
The room was a comfortable size, and the bed was comfortable. It was also quieter than expected. We were far enough from the Highway that th traffic was not disturbing.

Hot breakfast wasn't served due to Easter. Totally understand but wish I knew before I booked.
Staff friendly. Room comfortable. Good value. They use Neutrogena soap.

Bathroom needs updating. There was something wrong with the room next to mine. There was a towel outside smelling like bleach.
The breakfast was good. The people at the front desk were great.

these beds were 10 to fifteen years old as confirmed by a night staffer, a hotel should as a priority have good beds because that's what they are selling, a good nights rest, its Ludacris that these beds are so old and and not updated everybody do yourself a favor DO NOT STAY HERE

The room was warm and the thermostat wouldn't let me turn it down so I ended up turning it off, and just having the fan on, but that was musty smelling.
I picked this hotel for the location and the fitness center, both of which worked out well!!

The plus - room was very clean and fairly roomy. Minuses - our heating system got very loud in the middle of the night, like a jet plane taking off. We had to keep it on as temps were extremely cold. We were up and out early as a result. Front desk merely said "sorry". Also, we had trouble connecting to wifi and there was no answer at the front desk for at least 15 minutes. One of the elevators was out of order as well. We've stayed at this hotel before, very disappointing.

I had some kind of bug bites all over my body after staying there. I called the hotel to report the issue. It took a couple weeks to get an answer from them. It used to be the nicest hotel in Sidney. It is now in need of updating. I will not stay there again.

There was a really bad stench of (sewer) smell coming from the hotel foyer and room and really suffocating..! they changed the room from 3rd floor and send us to ground floor and it was the same.
