wait staff taking a while to acknowledge me ,, forgetting ice , taking quite a while to take my order, i know its a beach vibe but a little more attentiveness goes a long way

proximity to the beach, quiet inside room, I enjoyed 3 meals at the restaurant although the wait staff could be a litte inattentive and forgetful, the meals were good.

Ice bags were usually empty on the floors. If you wanted ice for the cooler (in the room provided) you needed to go to the front desk. Pool would be nice to have but the beach is right there

Felt rushed out by the cleaning staff, even though check out is at 12 pm from 8.30am they kept knocking on the door asking: we are checking if you are still here... reception staff should coordinate with cleaning personnel and let them know when a room is empty

Conveniently located very short walk to the beach and shops. Coffee machine provided if you ask for it at reception. Good amount of towels, place is kept very clean.

We arrived early and the staff kept checking other customers in but not us. They stated our room was not ready. Which was understandable. But they kept checking others in and 38 minutes after check in and having to keep asking about our room was finally ready. We booked and paid quite a bit more for an oceanfront from. Room was disappointing as we had a side view if we stepped out on balcony..not worth the extra money.

The only thing I can say I didn’t enjoy is the $45 parking garage fee. The garage is shared with public use. I feel that guests should get validation. Traffic noise can get loud being that the hotel is right on PCH.

We have stayed here once before, which is what brought us back. The location is in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, walking distance to everything. The hotel offers lots of amenities, such as free bike rentals, free surfboards, free beach chairs, beach towels umbrella and had a small igloo cooler in the room for your convenience to pack a beach lunch. The rooms are very clean, very very comfortable beds, a mini fridge with optional in-room snacks, and a good size workspace. The bathroom is roomy with a large soaking tub & a free standing shower and comfortable robes. The ocean front rooms have amazing views of the iconic Huntington Beach pier. The restaurant is on the lobby level with plenty of choices. The hotel also offers some social activities for guests. We will definitely be returning.

The only gripe is the terminology around Ocean View rooms online which is quite misleading. In fact the rooms only have an ocean view if you stand on one side of the small balcony and crane your head around the corner. They do have Ocean Front rooms which do more of what they say on the tin. Perhaps the Ocean Views should be renamed Partial Ocean View to alleviate any confusion. Our in-laws who we were travelling with had the same issue.

We really enjoyed the Kimpton, it was a great way to top off our trip to California. The location was great, right across the road from Huntington Beach, and just one street away from Main. The room was fab - very spacious, a couple of armchairs and two very comfortable queen beds, the bathroom also very large. Complimentary beer and wine each evening between 5-6pm which was a nice touch, in the internal courtyard which was a lovely place to hang out in. The adjoining cafe and bar were really lovely, and the hotel provides beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for trips to the beach which was very welcome!

Beautiful ocean front room. Very dog friendly. Drinks from 5-6 were a blast. Everyone had their dog(those with dogs) and just had beer or wine and hung out. Fun ping pong and outdoor areas.

We loved this hotel! Quick walk to the beach and Huntington Beach pier. Main street with all the shops and restaurants very close by. This was a great family hotel that offered s'mores kits to be used at the hotel's fire pits each night, a ping pong table, and other games. Free drinks each night and beach amenities available to borrow also. We would definitely go back.
