I booked this hotel for the beach access and expected beach chairs to be included. I was disappointed to be charged extra. Also, we reported debris under the bed, but it wasn’t cleaned, and there were toys left from previous guests.

the food was okay. not much to write home about. the check in was nice but they forgot to provide us with all of the paperwork (places to eat, maps of the area, the scratch off for points or a free cruise).

the view was spectacular. we saw a whale from the balcony, the bed and pillows were nice. the bathroom supplies were generous. we also made leis for a birthday dinner we had at the beach house restaurant. the pool staff guided is the the Poipu beach where the sea turtles were located at sunset.

The elevators were a trek to get too. The mini fridge was supermini. there was no microwave. Parking was hard to get/find. We ended up parking on the street most days because the lots were full. The food at the cantina in the pool wasnt very good.

Great view from the fourth-floor balcony, the elevators are very fast. Great water pressure. The room was nice and quiet. The pool area is amazing. Especially in the later afternoon when the hottub gets shade. Lots of lounge chairs.

Need cushions on the pool loungers; shouldn't use nasty cheese whiz on the nachos at Lava's; Pina Coladas at Lava's were worst we've ever tasted--tasted like bad soap; had to call security for loiterers who stayed on the patio next to The Link for over 12 hours on his phone for drug dealing I imagine---why isn't security walking around the property once in a while to check on things like guest safety? Never even saw one during our entire 9 day visit. Although it was great having a maid tidy up the room each day, we didn't like the fact that sheets were made to look clean but new ones were never applied--not acceptable. Tried to put us in a standard room when we arrived--we had paid for a premium ocean front room on top floor. They found one up on 4th floor--why weren't we offered that one right off when that's what we had paid for??? Need hooks on the wall in bathroom to hang bathing suits and such as there was no where to put them.

Beach, pool, room, location, staff friendly and John, waiter at Lava's was best. Lei making was great.

During check-in, perhaps a map of the resort with the room circled would help. It's very large and just saying "it's that building over there" caused us to get lost. Self parking was very limited

Our room was 2224 near the end of the property. When we came in we used the bathroom facilities in our room which immediately we noticed the smell of skunk weed…this was the whole time we were there. It never dissipated and it was strong! I am all for people doing what they want but we found it offensive in our own room so we kept the BR door shut the whole time. Never mentioned to staff since our door handle to the patio slider fell off one night and we had maintenance in our room when we returned from dinner. So, I’m sure they smelled it too. Also the bed was uncomfortable for the price of the room.

The room on the beach wing was great due to easy access and viewing of the beach situation. Watching surfers was almost daily in the afternoon. Very clean and very good food! Excellent staff in every location, from the front desk to the restaurant servers and hostesses and the cleaning crew! Our room overlooked the Luau so we got to watch the whole show for free!! Fantastic!

The food is absolutely disgusting at the pool restaurant and coffee bar. Coffee good but croissants cardboard. Food was lacking ingredients, thrown together. Seared Ahi was a frozen piece of Ahi microwaved. Not seared and rubber. Obvious that the workers couldn’t care less. $75.00 in the trash!

Pillows were too fluffy. Price was high. Somewhat confusing to navigate the resort. If you got off the main paths it was not as pretty.

Beach was beautiful and fun. Felt really safe. Pool was perfect temperature and nice, big, and beautiful. Hot tub was a little small but ok. The view from the beachfront room was amazing. Location was perfect.

Poor Room service (needed to pick it up myself), poor service (no shuttle busses, no flower necklaces, no umbrellas, no introduction to hotel upon check in). For the amount paid per night thee should be exceptional services like other hotels near by.

Your booking did not provide a dollar value for fees and taxes, just a list of percentages of additional fees and taxes. This is manipulative and extremely poor customer service regarding truth in booking a reservation. The other two resorts we stayed at in Kauai listed the percentages and dollar value for these fees. No excuse for you not doing the same other than to try to hide the actual dollar value of fees and taxes from the otherwise very hefty overprice you charge . Not impressed with the booking process and the overly high prices for your rooms.
