Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesUnsupervised children left in the pool area who had no respect for other guests. They were just being kids but their running , chasing, screaming and diving into the pool made me a nervous wreck. We chose this hotel for the beautiful pool and had hoped to use it.

United StatesGreat hotel with beautiful spaces and a quick 5 minute drive from the historic downtown. We have business in an area 30 minutes from Georgetown so we will stay at this hotel whenever we’re in the area. The historic downtown is exceptionally nice and I felt safe staying in this hotel. The breakfast was very good and the pool area is a nice place to hang out on a pretty day.

United StatesWe originally booked the wrong dates and changing it through Marriott Bonvoy's system was next to impossible. No one ever responded to any of our written requests through booking.com. The Marriott phone tree was a nightmare. If you get a hold of anyone, Marriott will act like its Booking's fault - Marriot has clearly trained staff to simply say they can't do anything because it's a third party issue, but this is false. I almost always use Booking and I've NEVER had this issue with any other hotel. This is not a Georgetown Sheraton issue - they were great. This is a corporate Marriott issue that is unacceptable in the hospitality business. Do better, Marriott.
Nice hotel in Georgetown. Decent breakfast and large swimming pool for the kids. Cute area by walking trail with good restaurants in walking distance. Beds were comfortable and water pressure/hot water availability was excellent.

That was very disappointing because it was a very nice evening to sit by the fire and to have no one on staff that evening and it was New Years Eve id unsatisfactory.
