Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Also didn't like the fact we had to pay for parking, they already have a parking lot? Also pricing is very deceptive, still not sure what they charged my sister for the room? The price they first billed her on arrival was different then what was on the invoice they slipped under our door in the middle of the night? Other then that, it was fine.

United StatesCould have been better: hot room (80 deg F / 27 deg C) at evening check-in; anemic air conditioner kept the room at a toasty 75 deg F; leaking flapper in water closet causing regular refills; no hot water in the morning (faulty shower valve); free parking, but with a "surprise" mandatory $15 charge for parking lot security.
The "good" -- convenient to airport, a low cost gas station is nearby to refill your rental car, breakfast, comfortable bed, quick check-in, and a pleasant staff.

United StatesThe neighbourhood was a bit dodgy and upon check in I felt like we were being scrutinised. Understandably so because I feel this neighbourhood is one of the worst in crime in the San Jose area. I was a bit surprised when I was asked why we booked at a third party site instead of directly with the property or with IHG, I did respond that it was simply a matter of price. Then they went into a spiel about points and how valuable they are and everything they can do for you to which I responded I've rarely received anything nice using hotel points; however I do appreciate having status just because of my overall stays so I'm treated like a frequent guest which I am. If that situation were to change I would probably not stay at IHG any longer.
The bed was comfortable and everything worked in the room it was also quiet which was nice. We really enjoyed the breakfast because I absolutely hate sausage but I love bacon and my partner is the opposite. It was nice to have both selections at breakfast so we could both have breakfast meet. The person running the breakfast buffet was delightful and extremely diligent.

United StatesTHE SHUTTLE SERVICE. YOU CONTRACT OUT WITH JOY AND THEN DRIVER WAS VERY THREATENING AND CURT. IT WAS SCARY. WE SHUTTLED TO THE HOTEL, BUT TOOK AN UBER TO THE AIRPORT. THIS MAN SHOULD BE FIRED.
The room was clean. What I lacked was a wall mirror to apply make up. Missed that greatly. Had a cocktail at the bar with family and the bartender was very nice.

BrazilI got in the hotel, and they said I was not booked there. They could not find my reservation. I was told to go to another Holiday Inn in San Jose. I got to the other Holiday Inn, and the clerk told me that I was not booked there and that I was not the first person that day with that problem. When I got back to the hotel, they said that the booking had just arrived. While waiting for the room in the lounge, there was a party extremely noisy. After a long flight and all the trouble of going up and down in San Jose, I was exposed to a session of torture!

United StatesOnly drawback was I asked for a 4:15 AM wake up call to catch my flight. The person receiving the call repeated it back to me. Of course I set my own alarm as well. I had only been asleep for about two hours when the wake up call arrived at 1:15 AM. Then it took me a while to fall back to sleep. So I ended up with only about five hours of sleep before my flight. And of course at 4:15 I called and come through.
