Worst restaurant experience we have ever had in our lives at Coastal Prime.

We deliberately chose our rooms based on formation that indicated we would have a truly lovely view. We did not, although we were in a suite. This was disappointing as it was the first visit to Boothbay Harbor.

The restaurant is exceptional. Food, wine and service are excellent. Room was comfortable and clean.

The beds were way too soft..woke up with back pain! Guest in near by room (304) smoked cigar out on balcony several times a day, forcing us inside because of the smell! Very aggravating!

The mattress or mattress topper was very soft, which made the pillows seem too thick, was very hard to get comfortable with a pillow for sleeping. The morning front desk, person needs training and hospitality. When I asked if they are serving breakfast at this time, she snottily remarked “I’m not serving breakfast“ . She quickly went back to looking at her phone. Although the restaurant is not technically part of the hotel, I would like to say that the breakfast was not great.

Beautiful location love that you can sit at the waterfront and relax. Have a few drinks during happy hour before you head out to one of the many excellent restaurants.

I didn’t like that I had to ask for fresh towels each day. Shower gel was provided but hard to squeeze out of a small bottle.

Location was great. Easy walk across the footbridge to shops, piers for boat excursions, restaurants and brewery. The room was clean. Convenient mini fridge in room. Ice machine down the hall.

For what we paid, I would expect daily housekeeping service (making the bed at a minimum) and we got none during our three night stay. In the lobby it would be good to have teas with hot water available, cocoa, and decaf coffee, in addition to the regular coffee.

The property is beautiful and the room was nice. The room was clean and well appointed except of the small bathroom. The Keurig coffee maker in the room was nice.

1. The hotel is a little worn. 2. Breakfast was not included nor any voucher, or etc but 3.. MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY They supposedly have a good restaurant as part of their hotel but when we went down for breakfast at their restaurant they only offered a minimalist buffet, no fried eggs nor any eggs other than scrambled and the buffet was $28.00 plus tax and service.

Parking is very difficult. Upon arrival there were zero parking spots. While my husband waited in the car, I got us checked in. The valet and front desk weren’t much help in helping resolve the lack of parking with clear responses. Fortunately one opened up. Arriving in the evening we thought it’d be nice to eat on property. The food was awful. We left thinking we’d made a very bad choice to stay here. But again, lovely room. After having amazing food the other days we were okay. A common thing said was your establishment had changed hands and it wasn’t the place it used to be to be. I know the quality of the calamari and crab cakes we subpar and had was greasy. The very thick wiggle of sauce on the crab cakes was inedible. The crab cake was to the point of burnt in the center with zero color on the edges. On a different note, why don’t you have luggage racks for the room? It makes things difficult to not have the ability to open your suitcase easily. I prefer to not put a dirty suitcase on your lovely linens.

Location and view were great! Very comfortable bed! We did remake our bed when we realized the fitted sheet was rough due to being wrong side out. The linens were lovely and the bed was made beautifully for our first glance. Thank you that was very welcoming.

We had an extremely soft fluffy mattress on the king bed. Way too soft and uncomfortable. We were surprised there was no maid service but we coped.

The water views from the upstairs rooms were great. We could see the whole town, birds flying by, ferries and pleasure boats large and small, working lobster boats and folks walking on the footbridge. Free coffee downstairs early in the morning was a plus. Having a great restaurant downstairs was convenient.

The restaurant on site , Coastal Prime, which supposedly is not affiliated but nonetheless we were there for dinner and had a table in bar area, ordered drinks and then were basically ignored and left to get dinner elsewhere

We liked the location, very close to the footbridge which is a 5 minute walk across to all the restaurants and shops. The facilities were very clean and we had a little balcony accessible to us. Very pleasant stay.

Friendly staff, good restaurant, convenient and free parking, great location for views and walking to local shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Where to start. The toilet didn’t flush, the ac didn’t work, the refrigerator didn’t work, water came through the windows when it rained and soaked all of our belongings. The manager is rude and the front desk staff is incompetent.

The ONLY plus to this property is the location.

Location of room. Too noisy. Lots of pedestrians traffic The beds were horrible when you played down you sunk and rolled in the middle. We found a worm in our bed! Asked for sheets to be changed! They did accommodate us in that ! Bedsheets felt damp all the time. Dead bolt didn’t lock. We told the front desk all of above even at check out and they could have cared less It was not one of our better stays
