This is a locally owned independent business and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The view is amazing and it is located close to downtown, the riverfront, and amenities.

The pillows were old and flat. My brother and I are 6ft plus and had trouble sleeping with the thin pillows. We also had planned for my other brother’s groomsmen to use the heated pool and hot tub before we got ready for his wedding in our room and the pool was cold and the hot tub looked like it hadn’t worked in months. The paper sign taped to the top of the hot tub lid looked like it had been there for ages so that was a major bummer on his wedding day.

The location was great. Close to stores and restaurants. Several brunch spots were walkable. Room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Staff didn't seem the friendliest. I wasn't aware of the 4pm check in time and showed up earlier to ask a question and didn't have a great first impression. Other than this, everything was great.

Forget the frowny emoji on the header. I still think this is the better, maybe best mid-priced option in Hood River. The closed hot tub spa is no longer advertised on the web, but the signs outside still say pool/spa. The regular pool is open 10 to 10. For most customers who just want to sleep a night, this would be of trivial importance. Over all, this place has a nice vibe.

The room had a private balcony with a north east view of The pool covered area has a view to the north. Quiet, even on a May Sarurday. Comfortable, clean, nice. Short walk or ride to dining or the Safeway for fresh or microwave meals. Nice breakfast place few blocks West. Residential area on a main street less than a mile from downtown to the East.

Coffee pot was too small for the maker, so coffee was full of grounds. Breakfast place on the corner, so I was able to get coffee, but...

Hot tub not operational (closed by Health Department), but hot tub was advertised WIFI slow Electrical outlet cover plate missing (shock hazard) Room smelled a bit odd (not a bad smell necessarily—maybe food smell?)

The covered pool area could be just a little warmer. The new spa/hot_tub is closed. Most rooms have indirect views of. Columbia River.

Nice, Friendy motel. Rooms were remodeled a year ago, show some signs of wear, but clean. About a mile walk from downtown, and a few blocks from Safeway, Walmart, strip mall with fast food. The pool is open 10-10. Nice garden and views from mostly covered decks. Decent off season rates. Quiet on an off-season weekday .

If I would know that hot tub is not working I would booked fodder t place! Heater/AC very loud, medium on cleaning some towels had stains, toilet bowl is broken and not replaced, clearly hazard if it shatters under somebody. Ice bucket still having melted water. Front desk really doesn’t care.

Staff meh, facilities not functioning- hot tub broken - it was not on listing - I would otherwise picked different place to stay. Room was medium cleaned, there was still melted water in ice bucket. One of the towels were clean but had stains. The heater/Ac combo is very loud! It worked what I needed it for, but probably wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.

The hot tub is closed. The indoor pool area is heated, but not quite warm enough this time of year. Most rooms dont have a direct river view from windows. Otherwise, I think this motel is nice. Hood River, a scenic place, is trying to be an international tourist destination, but is not ready for prime time. For trekkers, I should warn you that the Cat (Columbia River Transit) bus system.is geared mainly for locals, and the Upper Valley bus drivers are hostile to sightseers who don't try to arrange an exact schedule by dial-a-ride a day ahead. You can actually get stranded for an hour or two, or even an extra night if you miss a connection to Portland or the Dalles. Some drivers on the Gorge Express bus will call ahead when running late to help you make a connection, but you usually have to ask.

Comfortable, quiet, friendly staff. Balconies and garden areas with views of the Gorge. While wearing warm clothes you can enjoy evening or morning coffee with a view. For me, this is a nice, occasional personal getaway from the grittiness of Portland, and somewhat affordable in the off season. I like to trek around Hood River on foot and bicycle from the Columbia Gorge express bus. Good jumping off point for riding or walking the Hood valley or the old Gorge Highway to the East (if you don't mind the hills) Main downtown tourist area can be fun for shopping and dining and visiting brewpubs. Waterfront Park and Downtown are about a mile from motel.

Room is showing wear. Toilet seat should be replaced. Needs better lighting in the room overall.

No breakfast included was fine with us. Bed was comfortable, blackout curtains effective. Quiet neighborhood. View to river visible.

No elevator but it’s a small place.

The pool and hottub area was really nice. The hot tub looks to be brand new and has a nice peek a boo view of one of the neighborhing mountains.
