How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Some traffic noise as the hospital is next door and always busy. Booking.com price quoted was not correct as they didn't mention the $4.00 Billings Hotel Tax. Issue is not the money but the accuracy of Book.com's quotes. This isn't the first time we've encountered this with Booking.com. Bit irritating.
Nice facility for a reasonable price. Clean and comfortable.

We needed an accessible room. My 99 old dad and I shared a room. It was very tight/small when trying to help him and get his walker around. The bathroom was extremely small for a disabled person who needs assistance with toileting, bathing and dressing and there were NO GRAB BARS IN THE SHOWER??? Also the corner on the sink is very pointed and easy to get bruised on when trying to help someone off the toilet. I was very surprised about all of this considering it is so close to the hospital and clinics and is used by many people who have medical issues. Even our room had a walk-in shower it was definitely not ADA compliant.
The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner and fan worked great. Housekeeping was very helpful when we needed extra towels. Having an adjoining room with my brothers worked very well in helping care for my 99 y/o dad and being able to keep an eye on him from my brothers' room, after he went to bed.

Ours was an adjoining room with a locked door between rooms. This caused a lot of room noise to come through the door frame. Luckily, the other family settled down before I had to call the desk.
Comfortable beds, clean room, and easy access to Billings Clinic.

Easy to locate and in a quiet area. Lots of places to park and we were able to bring our little dog. They even had cookies for us in the evening.

The pool wasn’t available to use, and we were looking forward to taking a swim.
The property was well maintained, LOVED the freshly baked cookies and the Popcorn! The staff were very friendly and professional.

I can't think of anything that could have been better.
The room was clean and ready for us after a long day of driving. We were so tired when we got in and everything was really just as we needed it. Our pet was welcomed and we were all very comfortable. Staff was friendly and we did feel safe. We had our little dog with us. This was a pet friendly stay and we could not tell if animals had previously been there. That is not always the case.

Fan in bathroom wasn’t working, could use a little updating
Not too far from downtown, and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

As in most hotels, I would like to see the breakfast hours extended to at least 9:30. Also I could have gotten a better discount by using their medical discount, so I paid $10 more by using booking.com.
The bed was very comfortable. We took breakfast items to go and it looked like a real nice breakfast. I had a yogurt and a big yummy muffin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After we were settled in, to our dismay there was a baby crying next door. We asked to be moved and the gal at the desk was so understanding and moved us to another room. We had a nice quiet restful sleep. Thank you!

The inside side of the queen bed is soft and spongy the mattress needs to be changed out
The Riversage did everything right. That said the queen bed in our room needs to be changed out. The inside side is soft on the edges.
