How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location was perfect for what I needed it for. I was attending the CrossFit games at the convention center, so it was perfect. The room was spacious and clean. The bed wasn't too comfortable, but I only stayed 1night.
I do not like to pay for parking at a hotel. The rates are expensive as is and then to pay an additional fee on top of it is ridiculous. On the flip side the in and out privileges of the parking lot were nice.

Chose this Red Roof Plus because it said it had parking . What they failed to say was that it was a $20 charge and it was a walk up the street, and across the street from the hotel. We had good weather but it would be awful if rainy, snowy, ect. The check in girl at the desk was very unfriendly and not very helpful in explaining the parking situation.

Are room was dirty, we found trash on the floor and under the mattress. We also found dirty clothes behind the iron board. The floor was very dirty, like the housekeeper did not sweep. The sink leaked extremely bad, every time we used the sink, water would pour from the bottom, soaking the floor. We told the front desk about this and they didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal??

Had to pay 19 for over night parking plus 50 something deposit I have never had to do that in any other hotel I have ever stayed at. Worst part was the beds they just where not comfortable at all my husband and I didnt sleep well at all we were happy we only had stay one night.

Verified reviewVERY good location - essentially walking distance to downtown and other major sites. Rooms are very generously sized - great if you have kids and need to spread out, or if you want to do some yoga/morning stretches in the room. Mostly wooden flooring feels cleaner than an all-carpeted space as well.
Arrived late evening to a long line at check-in with only one person at the front desk. Check-in process took a long time and seemed needlessly convoluted. We then had to sign a no-smoking agreement - fair enough. We then went up to our room - and were immediately greeted by the overpowering stench of smoke. Lights also didn’t work. Called down to request a room change - they were accommodating, but again it as a convoluted and long process. New room was fine enough, but furniture drawers were rickety and cheap. Hotel doesn’t automatically offer cleaning services (standard nowadays at most places) so we called down on day 2 of our 3 night stay for cleaning - and the phone was completely broken. Went down to wait in line (again, long) to request cleaning while we were out for the day. Came back at four to a completely untouched room. Went down to complain (again, long line manned by only one person both checking in customers AND answering the phones). Front desk said they could said they could send someone up immediately - said that wouldn’t work because we were now in the room and resting (4 pm) but asked if they could come in the evening while we were out - they said no, which was unfortunate but understandable so I took a fresh set of towels went upstairs. Front desk and cleaning staff then show up a half hour later at our door offering to clean, which I had already declined because WE WERE RESTING. So now we had a dirty room and interrupted naps. I understand they were trying to make it better, but really they just made it worse. The final cherry on top was the check-out process, when there was NO ONE behind the desk nor any sign one would return - luckily one finally did after waiting a long time. I suppose most people just dropped their keys and left, but considering the numerous errors I wanted to make sure our bill was correct.

No one asked if I needed anything for my room or came by to clean room also when I checked in the front desk guy didn’t think I was handicap I guess because of my age I had to walk him all the way to my car a show him I am disabled veteran and none of the people spoke or said anything the just walk by
