Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFacility is tired and needs to be refurbished. Spa wasn't available and workout room was minimal, with some equipment removed from my previous stay. Although clean and tidy, the room felt well used, with chipped edges and lots of signs of wear. One of the drawers was broken. Parking was a bit iffy as well.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was substantial, with eggs, sausage, and biscuits in addition to usual selection of breads and the ubiquitous waffle maker. Room was clean and tidy when I checked in. Bed was quite comfortable. Coffee was available anytime in the lobby from a 'made to order' machine.

United StatesOk so even early evening the main door to lobby remained locked. This is because of the area and Portland’s preference to the street dwelling drug addicts and nut jobs and fentanyl zombies over the comfort & safety of law abiding citizens. This area is the epicenter of this outside of downtown. So that was a hassle but fine. Next, front desk lady was rude or grumpy or both. Was informed when arriving that my form of payment is not accepted, even tho it was ok to hold the reservation & book the room, they would not let me pay with it. In fact none of my debit cards or ApplePay would work. Debit card from major bank only. No credit card or PayPal types. So I asked about cash. Yes with $350 deposit on top of the room fee. Since I’d be screwed otherwise I said ok. Walked 8 blocks to atm to drain most of my funds. Then as I was forking over the money I’d meant for stuffing in garters at Club 205 next door, the rude lady continued scolding me about not knowing the policy of not accepting payments forms that are accepted everywhere else. I tired of this quickly and pointed out that I might have known, had it been posted during booking or anytime sooner. Anyway. 30 min to get checked in and btw, it’s nearly midnight now. I walk in to the room and audibly sigh. First I can’t find a light switch for forever, when I do, it doesn’t work. Finally fumbled into a lamp. All told the lighting consisted of 2 dim lamps and two bulbs over the vanity. Sigh again when seeing bathroom. The tub is dingy and small, shower head was decent but really loose on its bracket. During shower it did fall off completely and dumped all over the floor and I had to rig up some crappy deal to finish. Oh the lighting in bathroom no better, one switch barely worked till I found the sweet spot. Mark the tap now I foresee a deadly fire in the future from that shorted out light switch in room 111. Dang 111 isn’t that some kind of bad juju? Anyway, I said it hear first. Ok so back to the present.
Hmmm. I didn’t like very much about the place…the tv was a large screen LG so that is something…the breakfast was pretty good tho not much of a spread far as options. But it was good.

United StatesOne lamp plug did not fit the socket well. The seal around the bathtub on the floor seemed dirty or just old.
The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I needed a location to two different places I needed to go and this seemed like the best option.

United StatesEverything was worn down and patchy. Scuffs and scratches on the furniture, creaky elevator, scrapes and dings on the bathtub and walls, etc. Some appliances like a lamp and the alarm clock were unplugged. There was a burn mark on the nightstand.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was clean and comfortable. I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot.

United StatesDark hallways and rooms could be updated. Parking lot had some interesting people and vehicles which kept me on my toes while outside walking my dog. Parking had lighting, but homeless people are in the area so be aware of your surroundings. I didn't have any issues or concerns with any of the homeless folks, other than being asked for money. But, its Portland and that will happen to you pretty much everywhere in Portland and the surrounding areas.
It met the needs, a place to shower and sleep. Free parking and plenty of space to park. Very close to food, coffee, and shopping options. I84 and I205 are easy to get on from the facility. The breakfast was a grab and go which was fine. The coffee machine was not user friendly, but other coffee options are near the place.

United StatesWas not the facility I made a reservation at. When I asked where the gym and pool were was told they didn't have. When I explained that I had made the reservation at the one by the airport with the pool and gym I was informed that that facility was closed. 1st room the put us in was old and I would not want to use the tub. The view of the homeless was fun too. Still haven't got the 50$ deposit back either.
2nd room nice, clean. Staff was nice and helpful.

United StatesThe local neighborhood is disgusting, but I will say the people living there seemed friendly enough. The bathroom in our room was very dirty and in poor condition generally. There appeared to be one prostitute working out of a room there. We have stayed here several times over the last 5 years, but this time it was markedly less inviting.
They have a great breakfast there. It's one of the best I have seen at a US motel. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The front desk staff was fine as was the kitchen staff.
