The daytime customer service clerk could use some training on customer service and client relationships.

The night staff is fantastic to work with and assist with accommodations and answering questions. I do not have anything kind to say about the women who works the day shift. Anytime I ask a question she would let me know with her body language and eyes that she didn't want to be interrupted. Overall the entire staff from breakfast, cleaning and maintenance were sweet, sincere and happy to help.

The breakfast is only from 6-8 which feels like a way of having "Breakfast Included" in its description but only in the barest minimum while not really wanting to have it.

The room I had this time was much better than previous rooms, there wasn't the perfumy smell I've encountered before in many rooms which I've always figured was masking a mildew odor.

Only one entrance that feeds into the access lane of I-35 which is undergoing construction. Made for a small amount of stress leaving and entering property parking lot.

Halls were clean, and accessible to everyone. AC was adjustable and bedding was comfortable as well.

The TV guide was hard for me to navigate. The bathroom sink didn't have enough room for me to apply my makeup etc.

The building floors were large, nice tile. The room was large, quiet, hot water, clean. Great shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast was good. The staff were great.

The furniture was a bit outdated but like they say "if its not broke, don't fix it" so I understood that. I am used to hotels having usb ports as well as the regular outlets and this one didn't have them so I needed to go buy a wall-usb box from HEB ($5) so not a huge deal. The microwave took awhile to figure out how to use considering I realized that I couldn't change the amount of time I needed but had to do math. For example, it had like 26 minutes on it and all I was allowed to do was hit start. Not sure if it was intentional. I also wish it wasn't located along on of the most congested part of the city; hard to get out of the parking lot. There was one cockroach that was in the bathroom but I don't know where it went because I didn't see it or anymore the rest of the stay.

The receptionist was really nice and did require an extra $100 damage fee but if you don't damage the room, they remove the fee. I was thankful the hotel had blackout curtains because I travelled 4 hours to Austin (been awake all night packing and cleaning house) and needed a nap. They also provided HBO cable on the TV instead of just regular Spectrum cable. I also liked the added security into the entrance of the building. Luckily, it's located roughly 5-10 minutes from common fast food restaurants like McDonald's, Whataburger, and Burger King.
