How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I left my Kindle reading tablet in the room and contacted the hotel from the airport to inform them of it and asked them to give it to a friend who had not yet checked out in an adjacent room, but they didn't do this. I also sent an email asking the hotel to mail it to me but I never heard back. This was disappointing.

At first my review would have been very negative based on the attitude of the arrogant, rud4, angry young woman at reception. Luckily smher shift ended and the other staff members were very helpful. The hotel would have been in its prime in the 1980s

Location is interesting, and there was some like stained paint on carpet or something right outside our room. I feel like that should be something you clean. I don’t mind the outdated look but needs a little more attention

Girl was rude at checking in. Entrance doors were not automatic and it was difficult to enter. Room was not cleaned properly. Electrical cover plate missing from wall receptacle.

Although this hotel is close to the airport it backs up to section 8 housing. The hotel has not been updated. I had a fluorescent light in my room over the bed. The lobby looks a bit worn. The room was serviced in that the bed was made but they didn’t take the dirty towels from the floor. For what they charge per night, I would have expected a clean room with coffee, tea, towels replaced for the second night.
Location close to airport. Breakfast served. Airport shuttle.

Rooms bathroom door wouldn’t close. Old stained toilet seat could use replacement. No wine corkscrews available at the hotel.

There was dust on the furniture and the carpet needed a thorough vacuum

The hotel is a bit old and boring; it lacked any character or any interesting features. It's just a standard hotel room.
Location was great. It was right by the airport and right by the pond where the float planes take off and land. The hotel was a pretty good value.

Very dated facility. No shower curtains, leaking faucet, close to airport and main road, so loud traffic noise. Ok for one night to be close to airport, but spendy! Very few outlets (like one in the bathroom)

Only 2 pillows on the bed. Ceiling fan was broken in bathroom, and smoke detector above bed wasn't supported. Bed was a little dirty possibly from ceiling work clean up being missed.
Front desk staff was proffesional and curtious, Great water pressure in shower, room was spacious, hygenically bathroom was clean.

It is next to an apartment for assisting homeless. There can be loud fights outside your window. The smoking area can get sketchy at night.

The hotel is run down and desperately needs remodeling.
The 24-hour shuttle service was great -- the driver even took us to downtown and picked us up again later. The hotel is close to the airport and in walking distance of several restaurants.
