Staff were efficient and helpful. Rooms were clean. All features worked. Location is close to Vanderbilt property, Roosevelt Museum, and culinary Institute of America. Full breakfast was good.

dark, dingy, rag left in room, smoke alarm next door started chirping because it needed a new battery (thankfully it was replaced promptly when we brought it to the attention of the front desk)

Location is great for visiting the Roosevelt estates and museum/library as well as the Culinary Institute. Front desk staff when we arrived was very friendly and pleasant.

King size room on the top floor, while peaceful, was a bit tight. Not a lot of room for luggage for two. To use the luggage rack at the end of the TV console, was very tight to get to the bathroom. The chair& half, while nice to sit in by the window, couldn't really angle any other way. The desk chair, while comfortable, if someone sat in, the other couldn't get around you. So, maybe not a king bed in this room.231.lighting wasn't great by the full size mirror.

Bed & shower very nice. Clean. King bed room on the top floor facing the drive in theater. Kept the curtains open. Loved that.

Breakfast was disappointing If your not into carbs for breakfast your going to be disappointed . No fruit other than apples. No meat ot other protein. The breakfast need to improve to bring me back

The desk clerk put me off at checkin- he seemed to think I had a small dog or cat inside my Igloo brand food cooler. He wasn't exactly rude, but was unnecessarily assertive in wanting to know what I had inside. To his credit, he apologized when I showed him I had food inside. However, he should have handled it better from the beginning. It is a well-know brand of cooler, clearly has no breathing holes like a pet carrier would. Carrying food is pretty common now. Hotels routinely provide mini frig and microwave in rooms. I am a vegan eater and must routinely carry food when I travel. I've never had anyone question me at check in the way I was questioned here.

The breakfast area is too small. We had to stand with our food and eat that way since all the tables were full. Also the bedroom was very oddly set up. When we walked into our king room, there was a huge shelf with the tv on it and microwave and refrigerator on the bottom but it only gave you about 2 feet to get around that monstrosity to the bed. I was afraid I would walk into it in the night. If you are a larger person or pregnant, I think you would need to literally wedge yourself around the furniture to get to the bathroom. Also, the entrance to the hotel is very quick and small. You don't see the very small entrance until you've passed it. If you are unfamiliar with the area and it is dark, you will certainly miss it. IF you miss it, you can turn at the street right next to it between the gas station and the hotel.

The room and bathroom were very clean which is THE most important part for me. I was impressed with breakfast. When we checked in the night before, the breakfast area looked like it would only be coffee and some prepackaged muffins. But there were hot cooked eggs and sausage, bagels, cereal, make your own waffles as well as juice, coffee and water. And the shower! The shower was so powerful. I have thick long hair and often hotel showers do not provide enough power to wash my hair quickly. This thing was awesome!

Could hear others talking at night. Body wash for the shower was permanently mounted at the sink, not in the shower. Breakfast could have been better.

Sink faucet was very loose and the room had a strange smell.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The place was quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast was the same for my whole stay , maybe more options or something else every other day.

The location was great allot of stores around , I felt very safe. The building is old but well kept. The walls are very thin could hear people in the room next door.
