How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our price was about $50. more by booking on the site. Did not make me happy when our friends told us what they paid for their room compared to ours. Same room.
Really cute and clean continental breakfast room. Very simple breakfast.

A couple things in the room could use TLC - the knob on a piece of furniture fell off, and the shower rod needs to be rehung. But these are minor details and can be fixed easily.
Second time we stayed here on a long road trip around Western Washington, and just as good as the first. The staff are very, very friendly and I felt comfortable approaching them with any issues that came up (of which there were few). The location is ideal, and the fact that such a small inn has an exercise room, pool, jacuzzi, morning coffee & bagels, and ice machine were impressive. Also, they give you chocolate chip cookies when you check in.

It is a bit dated, and the beds were not the most comfortable I have slept in. But these are relatively minor quibbles.
The Poulsbo Inn is very easy to find, it is right off the main road and close enough to downtown that you can walk if you don't mind a little stroll down to the harbor. It is also near a CVS (needed a few toiletries) and across the street from a few restaurants. The staff were super friendly, and I was surprised by how well-maintained everything was, from the landscaping to the small dining room where coffee and bagels are available every morning. Also has a small pool and jacuzzi for when the kids are driving you bonkers.

The room was very basic. I would've liked a second light in the toilet/bathroom not connected to the fan (there was a second switch that apparently didn't function). Also, I was expecting location closer to downtown Poulsbo/marina (it was a 10-15 minute walk).
Overall a good value, facilities were decent but not great, pool was nice. Our friends staying one night were offered a suite with small kitchen. We were not and did not know such units were available.

Location is excellent for us. Stay here when visiting family a couple times per year. Clean, friendly staff. Only concern this time was the heating/cooling unit was a bit noisier than we’ve ever experienced. Otherwise great stay.

The breakfast room was 3 buildings away from our unit, so we had to drive over because walking is difficult for me. Breakfast was just bagels and coffee. It would be nice to have a little protein in the morning.
Although the Inn is an older property, it was well-maintained. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the heater-air conditioner worked perfectly! I have hip problems, and the bed was very comfortable!

Complimentary breakfast was only bagels, they were a little hard, but better after they were toasted. Also, a learning curve-if you have coffee pots in the private rooms, please provide coffee cups. : )
