Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesStinky people. Dirty linen.
Cheap, low cost. Air pollution is awful in Portland. Clean bathroom shower. Old Furniture. Drapes and bedding should be tossed in the rubbish. The rooms would be more pleasant with new bedding. The hose keeping staff needs a bath. U can smell some of them when you pass your doorway.

United StatesMy mattress was slightly deflated on half of the bed, and the TV channel selection is bare minimal but I mean so is the price so I can't argue.
I mean they didn't ask any questions that didn't take a deposit I felt like my privacy was fully respected.

United StatesThe beds were extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn't have wanted to hang out in the room. But it was good for one night and on the road again in the morning.
Very friendly staff, convenient and affordable place to stay! Right next to a gas station and fast food, easy for travels.

United StatesThe manager (Shelby) plays favorites. I had requested aground floor after I hurt my hip and for several days could barely walk. I was denied even though they had several empty rooms on the ground floor. He filled the empty rooms with people he preferred. Also, refused to rent to me anymore when he found out I had a dog, even though she is a registered service dog.
The housekeeping ladies were friendly and polite. Most of the office staff were helpful and friendly.

United StatesI did not like the location. There were drug dealers/tweekers hanging out in the parking lot, so I didn’t feel super comfortable leaving my room all the time. Loud yelling noises during late at night made it hard to get some sleep. There is also a Middle Eastern or Indian employee who is not very pleasant and has a rude demeanor, didn’t even greet me or made me feel welcome. The other 2 African American employees were way more hospitable and had excellent customer service.
Room was comfortable, had the basic fridge and microwave. Cheap room if you need to stay in Portland.

United StatesThe TV in the room didn’t work, the drawers in the dresser were taped shut, the bathroom towels had brown stains, wash cloths had hair weaved in the fabric, the bed had holes in the sheets and blankets, only 2 plug ins, and lastly the key card had to be replaced twice as it wasn’t working.
It was close to McDonald’s

United StatesThere was this person at front desk. A Hispanic man with glasses. He was very unfriendly and even a bit rude. He shouldn’t work for customer service at all. Things were good relatively and other staff were nice and helpful, but because of him, I feel like my stay at Portland Inn wasn’t much pleasant. And it would have been way nicer if they had a little expansion on parking lot. Because of its cheap price, this inn seems having many guests coming, but parking situation was a bit inconvenient.

United StatesWe booked through booking.com last min at midnight and went to check in and my reservation wasn’t in the system but the clerk honored the price and had 1 last available room- a double bed smoking room, we checked in pull back the blanket and noticed the bed sheet had a cigarette burn in the center, bed side table had multiple burn marks maybe preventable if they had ashtrays, the shower was leaky didn’t feel clean after a shower at all
I’m pretty familiar with the area as I grew up in Portland, and now living in another state but location is pretty central whichever way you go you’ll find something ie: Head N and you’ll be in Wa State, go E to PDX, S to Downtown, or head W for the Zoo. 10-15 min drive either em way you go. It’s not the prettiest but you get what you pay for! WiFi available, Air condition rooms and cable TV basic necessities met for low cost!
