You don't run into individually owned places anymore that have such friendly people running them! The view is also one of the best in Old Forge. The room was comfortable and had all of the amenities that you would need. We went for Christmas on Main Street for a girl's weekend out and loved every minute!

Sometimes the water to the toilet continued to run when flushed butt easily fixed. In room coffee maker but no coffee.

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like!

Vicki, the proprietor, was an exceptional host, a wealth of local info, eager to accommodate requests and just seemed like an old friend from day one! I had lots of questions about where to go for the best viewing of the eclipse and places to eat. She had more answers to all than I could keep track of! Also, she provided me with maps and directions. The room was beautiful, warm and cozy, and immaculately clean (and I am VERY particular about that!). The view from my balcony was beautiful. I look forward to visiting again and give it my HIGHEST recommendation!!!

Property owner Vickie was incredibly friendly and offered many suggestions for local activities, restaurants etc. We were late arriving from a long drive from Canada and she stayed in the office until we arrived to make sure we got in alright.

The entire experience was amazing. The owners made you feel like you were coming home for a visit. They were so friendly and bent over backwards to make my wife and I feel welcome. It was just what we needed. We couldn't have been happier or more appreciative when we left.

I booked under booking . Com I called the property due to cleaning charge but she stated she doesn’t charge a cleaning charge but was about to contact me due to the room I booked not available for Fri to sun but did have another room to book Fri to Monday. I explained I can’t stay Fri to Monday. Originally I had a lake front room for $605. She insisted I book for $770 for Fri to mon and to cancel through booking and told me to just let booking know that the days just don’t work for me. I cancelled and stated days wouldn’t work for me. She said she work on trying to get me deal and call me back for Fri to sun. She didn’t call me back instead sent me reciept for $630 for Fri to sun. We arrived sun and she saw my husband and I looking around and let us know she could check us in early . She seemed nice. The next day we had a call from Our kids grandma that we had to get the kids as she had an emergency. We dropped everything and got the kids few hours away. We got back to motel and the owner stated the we would have to pay an extra $279 for the kids to stay and left it at that. We went to the beach and dinner. After returning she wanted to talk to us about payment and insisted that she is losing money by renting us another room $279. She said that we can rent another room but my husband and I have to sleep in separate rooms we paid for the extra room but decided we were just gonna go home as it’s too hard to be in separate room with a baby . She told me that if I gave her the keys to the room we paid for that she would refund us for the extra room. I gave her the keys. We packed up. And was going through the room we paid for Fri to sun even. Though it was only sat. She did not refund for the extra room that we never recieved the key and told her we didn’t want. We held our end of the deal but unfortunately she didn’t return our $279 back to our family. Anyone else have issues ? Will never stay here again I’m sure she sold both rooms after we paid

new owner was gonna charge me 24 dollars more beyond taxes and fees if i used my credit card.. tried to switch rooms other then i booked online.. i had printed it out and when i showed her she was a liar she grabbed the papers out of my hand and refused to give them back..blamed booking . com then the gov.of ny , then me..

There was no shower head and the beds are very worn in, also the grout was cracked and coming out of the tile and I stepped on a piece more than once! OUCHHH!

No outlets worked good ,plugs kept coming out of wall outlets. Lighting in room was bad.Needs updating badly for the price you pay.Bathroom to small.
