Though the room exceeded our expectations for comfort there were 2 drawbacks that you could work on. First the television had a muted picture quality. This might not have been an issue a few years ago but we have grown accustomed to sharp television pictures with vivid color. Along this discussion we were confused that the television guide offered pay per view movies but we could not access them with the descriptions provided. My last comment is more significant in that the room has a sharp order resembling a dirty locker room. We purchased some air sprays to try and dissipate the odor but whatever was causing the problem was pretty deep seated and the odor would quickly come back.

The room was beautiful with lots of unexpected touches. The super long couch and power window shade was so much fun. The comfort of the bed added to the ambiance making the stay most enjoyable.

I'm not a fan of valet parking since if you want to get into your car you need to find a person to help you. I also didn't enjoy the high pressure sales pitch.

When we asked for help to get tickets for the Midway the staff weren’t very helpful. No immediate EV charging stations nearby.

    Nothing. We loved it.

The room was gorgeous! We loved the art deco/art nouveau decor, and the fact that we had a small kitchen and dining area. The size of the room was perfect for what we needed as we used the room for myself and my bridesmaids to get gorgeous for my wedding! Also, the staff was fabulous. When we checked in, the front desk clerk offered us a bottle of wine to celebrate our wedding. That really touched me. I would recommend Inn at the Park to anyone coming to stay in San Diego!

Kitchenette in room needs a kettle (as well as the coffee maker) please. Check-in process was fine but when we had just arrived after a 12 hour flight we really wanted to get to our room, so the (very friendly) introduction from the concierge, including all the reasons why we needed to attend a time share presentation were a little unwelcome - we know the concierge gets paid based on getting people to attend, but please consider you customers may have travelled a long way.

Room was exactly as described and really well laid out. Kitchenette was perfectly sized and well equiped, except there was no kettle (and being Brits we love to make tea). Coffee maker was perfect though for those of use who enjoy coffee, as was the supply of coffee grounds - thank you!

    The presentation hassle.

The room was like a small apartment with a separate kitchen and all cooking materials. I never imagined that it would be so nice. and complete. BUT the concierge kept trying to get me to go to a "presentation" aimed at getting me to buy into the Shell Vacation Club. I had to keep avoiding him in order not to be hassled. Nowhere was it stated upfront that the presentation hassle would be part of staying there

The hotel is in the perfect location - walking distance to Balboa park. The stuff is very kind and professional. We had a king studio (a big room) with the small kitchen which includes everything we needed. We were there during a huge uncommon wave of heat and were forced to run A/C 24 hours. Unfortunately the A/C in our room stopped working on the next day of our arrival. We found it in the morning when we got up and informed the front desk about this issue. They promised to take care of this issue. We spent the day in the city. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, they told us, that they could not fix our A/C, but they are moving us to another available room with working A/C. They helped us with the move and I was really impressed how quickly and effectively they resolved this issue. We are really grateful to the entire stuff. It was a very pleasant and convenient stay (especially considering the weather condition).

The elevator was crazy slow and made awful noise inside our room. 2 towels were dirty (we just used the other ones), the AC could not be set separately for bedroom and living room, and 1 giant closet smelled like pot 2 times during our stay making it impossible to use. The saleswoman didn't understand we wanted to go to our room when we first arrived.

The front desk staff and valet were very helpful and kind. Plenty of room. Close to Balboa Park and a 20 minute walk to the zoo.

We had a clogged sink upon arrival had to call twice to get someone to room...he worked for 45 minutes which was later in evening ( we just wanted to shower and go to bed... but couldnt) he said it was unable to be fixed and would have to come back the next day... they did send someone the next day and was resolved. However it was a bit inconvenient washing hands and brushing teeth in the kitchen... both all day and next morning... but thankful there was another sink to use.

Liked the comfortable bed, the location, the decor in the room and hotel, very pleasant staff!!!

Other guests smoked on their balconies, so our room consistently reeked. Bathroom ventilation was lacking.

Location in Bankers Hill between downtown and bopping Hillcrest, gave us a glimpse of life in San Diego w/access to brewpubs, restaurants and Balboa Park. Room was spacious, with a kitchen-area; perfect for a small family.
