How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It would have been nice to have a second elevator toward the back of the property. Our room layout was a bit odd. The bathroom sink was practically at the foot of the bed as was the room with the toilet and shower. Most suites I’ve been in have the bathroom facilities located between the two rooms.
Staff were very friendly and courteous. The facility was clean and well maintained. Downtown Pismo and beaches were easy to get to by car. The evening reception was unexpected, but a very nice welcoming touch. The complimentary breakfast was good and offered several hot items. The breakfast area was large and offered an outdoor area so guests didn’t feel so crammed in.

The kitchen staff (during breakfast) could be friendlier. When we asked for more sausage and eggs, the server placed the plate with an attitude instead of setting it down politely. A warmer smile and better presentation would make the dining experience much more pleasant.
Housekeeping always does a fantastic job, even with the language barrier. Whenever we asked for help, they kindly showed us where things were located and made sure we had what we needed.

We did not enjoy being asked for another $15.00 to check into our room 2 hours early, while the room was ready for occupancy. An "early c/i fee"...? Come on, that has little to do with 'hospitality'!

Decor is a bit dated but it’s clean and for the price and convenience it was great value.
We stayed here on our west coast road trip on our way to San Francisco. Room is dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. All in, great value for an overnight stop.

The sofa bed could be more comfortable - the mattress was rickety and caused back pain. A bit outdated decor.
Very good experience overall. Friendly and helpful staff, good additional services, such as free shuttle. Complimentary breakfast was basic but good range of choice. Free coffee and tea and complimentary drink on arrival are a nice touch. Rooms are big enough and have everything you need.

I wish the pool was bigger. It was always very busy and we didn’t get to enjoy it.

They advertise an excellent breakfast, and we had to stand in line to get it, but we weren't impressed. There were options, and a hot food station, but I wouldn't come back to get it again.
The hotel is very conveniently located, and the king room actually consisted of two rooms, so plenty of space. Comfortable bed, and everything was very clean and well taken care of.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The pool was located in a great area. The pool hours were excellent, we was abletoenjoyedour day and still had enough time for the children to enjoy the pool. I enjoyed the fire pit area. The breakfast was great as well. Walking distance to a restaurant for late night meals. I will be returning here soon.

Nothing I didn’t like, it is a little further away from Pismo boardwalk but you are right near the shopping outlet. Price is a bit high especially for a weeknight but I guess thats everyone and just prices nowadays .
Always a nice place to stay. Looks like they have maybe renovated the room the last couple years. New coat of paint, new furniture and gave the bathroom a nice facelift with a rainfall shower. They still offer the evening free drinks and the good hot breakfast.
