Checking in the man in charge, his english was very poor, we could hardly understand him. Couldn't figure out the shower, my lady had to just, "wash up" in the shower because the water was soooo hot. We called downstairs, they put us on hold to the maintenance man who never took are call.

Bed was good, location was great. Doorman were exceptional.

The only thing would be the stained couches in our room.

The eclectic and artsy vibe was amazing, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was huge! We walked 5 minutes to the playground and it was brilliant for our two kids with the closeness. Plenty of food options available within a short 5-10 min walk.

Stayed night of july 4, so hotel restaurants closed. Limited facilities beyond fitness room. Front desk clerk also was valet when we left next day, so took longer than should have to get car. Stain on carpet between beds and on night stand. Lighting in room limited and no plug in available by beds, had to unplug light on night stand to access. Not sure how it managed to get 4 stars.

Location and room size excellent, staff helpful, comfortable beds, liked the deco style. Bathroom clean.

It would have been great if they provided bathrobes.

Staff is awesome. Bed super comfortable, pillows were absolutely wonderful. Instructions for the complicated shower set up were appreciated. The bathroom soaps/shampoo were great and smelled wonderful. I wanted to take that soap home with me. Coffee in the lobby a nice plus. Walking distance to the old market area with brick streets, and across the street from the Orpheum Theater. I left my room at 7:15 for a 7:30 performance.

It is an older building, and the water pressure in the shower was not very good. (It is a lovely shower!)

Second stay at Hotel Deco. While I didn't get a corner suite this time the room was well-appointed and the view terrific, plus I just love Art Deco style. I was a little disappointed the bar was closed early on a weeknight, but from a business standpoint I perfectly understand it being a slow night. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the valet parking is a plus.

The air conditioning system wasn't working during our entire 3 night stay. Our room stayed uncomfortably warm even with a fan. I feel we should have informed about the situation at check in. The parking choices are limited, and the water pressure in shower was very poor.

The ambiance of the hotel we enjoyed, the monarch restaurant had great food and service. It also is in a great location.

We didn't see the Eagles, they must have snuck them in a back way. Having a multiple-office police response incident was a bit distracting.

Classic Art Deco Hotel in great downtown location. Room and views (11th floor) were wonderful. Nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was not included but it was very good. My son said this is the first place I've taken him that he really wants to go back to and stay again.
