Unfortunately, there was no working ice machine. We needed to run to “Wawas” every night.

Carpet was not properly cleaned. Microwave was very old (functional but had rust). Stove was very old. Old TV.

Nice location. Nice exterior pool. Air conditioner in very good condition. Good water pressure in shower and sink.

The room wasn’t very clean. The floors looked like they weren’t vacuumed, we actually found a child’s shoe under the bed when we checked our room and our stuff before checking out. We also weren’t given much information on stuff about the hotel, such as WiFi.

They allowed us to get in earlier than we were supposed to & the office people were nice. We really liked how close it was to the boardwalk.

Our room smelled of fish or crabs. 🤔🤔 found out someone left a piece is salmon in the freezer. Maintenance removed it. Smelled cleared.

Need more grills we had to stop cooking to give others a turn .. and it was a lot of us staying thier we rented 3 rooms and one with a kitchen

The beds were small and advertised. Each room had a mini refrigerator and microwave. We only had a refrigerator.

Have to say, I wish it wasn't so expensive, I'm kinda cheap tho. Also, there were other customers playing loud loud super loud music

The location was excellent, within 500 or so feet of the boardwalk/beach!.. Staff was very friendly. Comfortable room. Nice bathroom/ shower(kinda small but not in disrepair at all). Definitely using this place when we go back!

The rooms smelled bad, especially the drawers and bathroom. The beds are also hard, woke up with sore body everyday. The fridge is small and nothing is included in the stay. No coffee or machine in the rooms or office to have breakfast.

The staff are really nice and it’s close to the board walk. It’s a convenient location with pool and grills.

The bed was not very comfortable, no shampoo/conditioner or a hair dryer that I could see.

I couldn't beat the location for what we were there for. It was exactly where I needed to be.

Ice machine has been down for a year, the carpeting was a bit dirty... from sand, should have tile and the window by the hanger area does not lock.

Super friendly staff... amazing. Room size was great. Location, location!! Would definitely stay again.

What I didn't like is need to upgrade on towels,even thou I always brong my owns,need to upgrade on microwave other than that no more complaints

The Ocean Sands would be considered "Vintage" by most peoples standards, yet has been upgraded over the years. We chose them due to their location and pricing, knowing it wasn't a 5.0 star. The only thing we encountered was the lack of good towels -- they really need to throw out what they have or use them for cleaning! Please replace them with decent quality ones before next season! The room AC was brand new and worked fine, although it was extremely drafty and you could see "daylight" in several areas. Given the windy, raining weather, we had to put paper towels in those areas to block the "whistling" sounds! Otherwise, our room was clean, although somewhat outdated and tacky, but we were offered room service every day! The ice machine was inoperable, so we had to go to the hotel across the parking lot out back and use theirs! But otherwise, we met some other visitors staying there and had fun! Overall, it served it purpose and our stay was great!

Our stay came at the end of the "Summer" season, as the last of hurricane Ian came thru the NJ shore points! We arrived early in the day (10:30 AM) and were allowed to check-in and put our bags in the room, etc. even though normal check-in isn't until 4:00 pm. They were gracious to us in every way possible, given the weather, staffing issues and literally being closed for the rest of the year!
