How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No elevator (but we were informed). Room could’ve done with the floor being mopped and a better general clean but hotel lobby very welcoming, clean, and friendly.

Elevator not working. Was told it was out til mid August. Wrong. We came Sept 1 and never worked the 5 days we were there. Also told we were on 2nd floor, thinking that we would only need to go up one flight of stairs. Wrong again. They count ground floor, then 1st, then 2nd. Too many stairs for someone still recovering from a broken back. Also, one bed was so warped and lumpy it had a broken support under middle and could not be slept in. Thankfully we had the second bed and could use that one the rest of the stay. Air conditioner was super loud and could not be used at night.
Great location, close to the boardwalk and beaches. Spacious room.

Coffee offered was empty every time I tried to get wife a cup.
Loved the Christian values of the hotel. Received late checkout which was great. We will be back .

It was very difficult to know what you were purchasing as there were so many different buildings being rented at this website. They are all associated with the one owner but you may not realize they are in different buildings. Some of the buildings are not suitable for elderly people (stairs/elevator out of service). It was our first time in ocean city, NJ and first time renting. Very difficult. We did not understand what we purchased. GOD was good to us and as I went to front desk to tell them the unit we rented was not accommodating to our elderly relative - another guest was registering and offered her room to us. It would have been awful IF she had not come forward and been kind. The desk was trying to help us but there was nothing available. The room we changed to was inadequate in space for three people. It was minuscule. It was immaculately cleaned by their maid service!!! Cannot say enough about the staff.
Very clean. Maid service was amazing!!! Ladies in the office were most helpful, kind and courteous. Location to the boardwalk and beach entrance were amazingly close. My 86 year old mother-in-law was able to walk the distance. Nice boardwalk seating at this entrance too/with shade.

The elevator wasn't working, which we were aware of prior to arrival.
Staff was very friendly. Liked the location and the pool. Booked last minute and liked the idea of booking for a few days rather than the whole week.

I was a little surprised that I had to “rent” a beach tag from them. In the past, at other hotels, I would just give a deposit to borrow a tag but didn’t actually have to pay anything. Not a big deal (just $3 a day), just a little surprised by this.
Location was great, just a block from the beach and boardwalk. The two staff members were very nice and made me feel welcome.

Parking is a little tight. The elevator was out; however we were on the 1st floor and parking was close to the fire escape.
