We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesGround level condo. We got there & saw dust in the corners, sticky surfaces & hair in the shower. It wasn’t a huge deal. Cleaning supplies were there so I tidied up a bit before unpacking. The fitted sheet in the bedroom (it’s a huge, beautiful bed by the way!) kept coming off. I realized it kept coming off because the sheet was put on sideways. So when I went to fix it, I found a bug in between the mattress & box spring. That was it for me. I put all of our clothing in garbage bags & took it to the laundry mat (the washer/dryer in the condo has a sign on them not to use & the ones in the laundry room on the 3rd floor was out of order). While I was gone doing that, my husband was back going through the other furniture to see if there was any other bugs. He didn’t see any on any other furniture but there was some under the kitchen sink, dead. It just made us feel dirty. We kept our stuff in the car after that. Another thing, I reached out to vacasa for access to the gym & it took a few hours to get a response. Thankfully by then we talked with a fellow tenant & got the answer. ALSO… when we got to the airport on the 6th, our 12 year old realized he lost his iPad. I reached out to vacasa to see if they could check with housekeeping. This was around 6 am-ish. They informed me it would be $25 fee. I got the email on the 8th that they didn’t find it. (I might have gotten a text sooner but I have since deleted it).
I’ve stayed at Ocean Jewel Condos before but not through Vacasa. The location is nice. Walking distance to the beach. However, we weren’t notified until AFTER we booked, that direct beach access was closed. (had it been clearly advertised, it wouldn’t have felt like they were trying to omit the information until they got paid) The beach is stunning! To gain access, you can walk through a very narrow path between the 2 fences/trees or walk on the other side of the heated pool (the one that is still open).

United StatesVery outdated, once I walked in. It's similar to the pictures but picture always look good. Also I wasn't told that there wasn't a pool or we didn't have beach access. Until they sent my confirmation after I paid.. there's no sea wall. In the picture theres a pool for My side of condo and a pool for the next set of condos next to us. But theres no pool on our side and the small dirty pool around the other side. A few people complained that they are Walk was kinda long. I told them they didn't tell me about this till I made my confirmation. may try one of their other properties, then call the hotel to see if they have a pool and access to the beach.
Vacaca was on the Ball with everything I asked or told them. Cause I had a WiFi problem, but I figured it out. They gave me the wrong spectrum. They tried there best. And I complained about bug I called right away and they took care of it.
