Downside to being so close to the beach is there quite a bit of homeless and I could get a little stinky.

The bathroom was very small. It is a busy corner but especially Wednesday nights are "party" nights in the park/beach. Music until after 11:00 so be warned if you need to sleep early!

Charming old beach-side hotel. Nicely updated, Friendly/helpful staff. Selection of snacks, beverages and other miscellaneous items for sale and nicely displayed in the lobby. Clean rooms, Fluffy towels and comfortable beds. Balcony looking right onto the beach.

The bums setting up shop on the lower level. You can hear them talking and yelling throughout the night over the balcony and through the sliding door.

The hotel is quaint. If you're looking for a luxury spa, look elsewhere. I enjoyed the relaxed vibe and the boho area. My room was small but I didn't feel cramped because of the patio and ocean access. There are planes flying over during the day but I didn't notice any at night. There's an in-room refrigerator & coffee maker, but no microwave (guests are welcome to use the microwave in the office).

It's across the street from the beach! I'm mobility impaired but I was able to easily visit the beach. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and shops within easy walking distance, even for me. The staff at the hotel is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is an older property but very clean & well maintained. There's a large, walled in patio that my room opened out to. It has a fountain and tables to enjoy. The beach side walls are glass so you can enjoy the ocean from the patio. The hotel is very dog friendly and there were several rooms that had doggy guests. The area is very dog friendly. The beach across the street allows leashed dogs and there's a dog beach just minutes away that allows off-leash dogs. Overall, I felt welcome, comfortable, and safe during my stay. I'll definitely stay here again!

This is an older facility on the beach which means no elevator service to the second and third floors. This is also a beach town and there are transients wandering around, bars open late, street vendors, and the location is on the main street with cars, motorcycles, and daily garbage pickups across the street, all contributing to a lot of general noise. I am an older person and although I didn't have any problems with the local color, others might. A nightlight in the bathroom would be nice.

Had to add an extra night. They were very accommodating. View was spectacular - waves and pier. We had very heavy rain, they provided extra towels to help with keeping the mess down on the floors (hard surface, no rugs). They allowed us to bring in the table and chairs from the porch so that the 4 people in the room had a place to sit down other than the beds. Parking was provided for one car, always had a place to park our car, even on the heavy traffic beach days. Location was perfect for access to Sea World and Belmont Park. Exterior access doors to the courtyard were locked at night with card key access. The courtyard and outside ocean-facing seating areas were lovely. Amenities available - laundry and a well-stocked lobby store. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to restaurants and stores (Target is nearby). I was delighted to have the three sliding glass doors facing the ocean and pier that could be opened to allow the air and sound of the surf (railing provided for safety). I would love to come back when the weather is warmer.

It hit a little loud at night from the street drummers drumming the same beat outside of our window for 6+ hours but over time we didn’t mind and were able to just fall asleep!

We got the family beach room in a 2nd floor and it was AMAZING! The views were to die for and the amount of things to do RIGHT outside the hotel were crazy! We have now marked this our best family vacation so far!
