The desk manager Demitrus was a great person gentleman and a wise person even someone I’d probably hangout with back home. We both from the same city in NY. GOOD SPIRIT and he keeps the same energy w every customer I notice and is very knowledgeable about the property area and his line of work. ALSO Yolanda and Maria and Luciana were amazingly helpful. Maria went above and beyond for the birthday we celebrated. I tipped her and Yolanda for it too I rarely do that. - HOWEVER whoever the Caucasian gentleman working overnight was ? Around 1130pm? Dark hair white skin? Very rude. I wanted to simply get 1 canned malt drink and Maria and Yolanda let me have it the same time night before ( which is normal - not tryna get drunk just have a taste ! I’m a grown 200 lb man!). And that Caucasian gentleman was rude and abrupt. He said and we quote “absolutely not sorry. Past 10 pm I don’t give alcohol to anyone. It’s dangerous for the staff thanks though goodnight and I won’t say it twice “. Nasty. What if someone brought back a bottle? Is he going to steal it ? He was a bit crazy. United StatesWe had a problem with checking in. When we got to the hotel after a long and tiring day, we could not check in. We had to wait for longer than 1 hour because the reception manager could not find our booking. Moreover, he said the hotel was overbooked . After a long waiting time and a call to booking.com, the hotel managed “to find” our booking and even “upgraded” our room with a better view (when it was said that the hotel was overbooked). Pretty annoying experience.

United StatesWe had reserved a suite for 6 nights several months in advance but were called while we were in flight and told that there were maintenance issues in the suite, so we'd be in the King Room with River View. As my partner is a facilities manager and has worked at a hotel before, we were very understanding. However, we were not offered a refund on the price difference, which is quite significant. We did eventually get into the suite on the 4th night, and it really is a great room. (The King Room with River view is fine - much smaller, no fridge or seating area.) After calling Booking, who then communicated with the hotel, I was able to get a small adjustment, but it was much lower than what I thought was fair. The hotel staff that we spoke with were kind and did the best they could in the circumstances (offering a breakfast and dinner voucher) however there seemed to be some internal personnel issues happening both at the front desk and in the restaurant. I am hopeful this was a fluke and we just had some bad luck. I might give them another try the next time I'm in town to visit family to confirm.
The hotel is in a central location and easy to access the airport, Providence, and anywhere else in RI you are trying to visit. The former textile mill building has a cool history, and I'm glad it's been revitalized as a hotel, apartment, and business district. The staff that we interacted with were very kind and tried their best to make our stay enjoyable, even when a couple of things went wrong (see below). The room we reserved (the suite) was really great - clean, comfortable, and spacious. The cleaning folks were friendly, and cleaned nearly every day.

United StatesThe parking lot across the street was a little inconvenient. The heating system/AC didn't work.
The first room was way too warm - the heating and AC didn't work and were very noisy. The front desk person had no idea what to do and just said he'd get back to me in 30 minutes. He never did. I had to ask him again to fix the problem. Finally, they moved me to a different room after discovering the system wasn't working. Very frustrating to unpack and then have to repack a couple hours later.

United StatesI liked the bed and shower, very comfortable. The USB plugs did not work and the restaurant staff was not focused on the customers waiting to eat. I ended up leaving. I recommend putting QR codes for the restaurant in the hotel rooms so guests can preorder food items and pick them up instead of waiting for a server.

United StatesMy only hiccup was the front desk agent(which I later found out was new) forgot to mark our room as occupied and another couple walked in our room at 3am while we were sleep. Management was super apologetic and did not make any excuses. She explained NOTHING made that situation ok and was very accommodating. Even with this small hiccup I will definitely be back sooner than later. I didn’t even care by the end of it lol

United StatesThis is my 3rd time staying here and the person checking me in at the desk is never friendly. It surprises me in the service industry. Each time I have approached the desk with enthusiasm, at the start of my trip, I was greeted with indifference and a lack of warmth or welcome. The experience at the desk takes away from the overall satisfaction .
