United StatesI just wish someone had opened the windows in our room before we arrived. It was extremely warm when we entered. Only one set of windows opened as the others were trapped behind the headboard of the bed. They gave us fans and the room eventually cooled down.
Staff were very polite and helpful. They got us 2 fans for our room and tried to find us a charger for our phone. Lovely property with beautiful flowers growing everywhere. Some off street parking was available. Our room, 108, was a deluxe king room on the upper floor. It had a high ceiling and way more storage than we knew what to do with. There was even an extra little room with a sink, magnifying mirror, and cushy chair for me to do my makeup. Very nice recently renovated room with a comfortable bed and plenty of fluffy pillows. There was a spiral staircase taking you to this level. Please note there is no air conditioning, which in Carmel is rarely needed. Breakfast is very basic - hard boiled eggs, toast, coffee. There was enough to get us going. We would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was perfect for a little fuel to get us going in the morning. I had packaged oatmeal and a piece of fruit almost daily. Appreciated the hardboiled eggs that were available for a little protein. For a large, substantial breakfast, you would have to go to a restaurant. But this did the trick to get us out and about until lunch.

United StatesParking is very limited. It is difficult to find street parking during the day. It is easier to find parking before 11 AM and after 7 PM.
Can not ask for a better location as it was on Ocean Blvd and walkable to the beach and the center of town. The rooms and hotel itself is a little worn but comfortable enough. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

We needed to get ready for a wedding and there was no parking anywhere- cars circling. the staff let us park in the loading zone for 30min while we got ready. we didn't have problem for most of our stay - we parked on the street and in the lot. They should hire a valet during the crowded weekend.
great quiet location in walkable town, quick walk to beach and all the restaurants, can hear ocean when step outside room, very comfy bed, clean, updated room and bathroom, warm pool, parking. The staff ladies on thursday and friday were VERY kind and helpful. I would absolutely stay again.
