Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaSlightly tight parking spots. Also I got room service when I wasn't aware about them whilst I was outside. I prefer if they asked if I want one check in. The room was a bit humid and felt damp. I turned the ac on high fan and left but room service turned it off.
Location, cleanliness, price, parking spots, friendly front desk.

United StatesAlthough it was close to Universal, parking was a nightmare. The spots are so tight that parking is very difficult, and 2 of the spots are unusable because they were right next to the building walls. We weren't able to drive anywhere in fear that we'd lose our spot. Parking across the street is for metro, so there aren't other options. There were no bedside lamps, so laying in bed reading, you have bright overhead lights on, not ideal. The walls were thin, and the family next door was playing and screaming way past quiet time (we are talking 11pm). The cleaning staff also threw away our cooler bags and didn't offer to compensate us. We were not happy and will stay somewhere else next time.
It was ith in walking distance to the shuttle for universal. The bathroom was clean and nice. The beds were comfortable.

United StatesThe room was a little tight for five people. There is a table, but it only had two chairs, a third would be nice. Also, there isn't much bathroom counter space, but we made do. The room would get a little stuffy, but the air conditioner took care of quickly only it was a little loud, so we'd turn it off right after. We could hear people walking above us, and the freeway is close, but I simply took a sleeping pill at bedtime, and had no problem. The four others in our room didn't seem to have a problem with the noise at all. Also, I wasn't sure if housekeeping would come into our room since there wasn't a do-not disturb sign available. When we returned, I was surprised to see our beds made etc. But, it was a nice surprise after a very long day:)))
The room was very clean! The staff very friendly & helpful. The location was close to Universal Studios. We walked approximately two blocks & caught a free tram that took us up the hill & dropped us off at Universal City Walk, which connects to Universal Studios. The tram also runs two hours after Universal Studios closes. Savings on parking at Universal Studios was approximately $35 per day, so $70 for us. And on our first day, check in was later in the day, but we were allowed to arrive earlier, pre-register & get a parking pass for no additional charge. We just had to pick up our room key later that evening:))) Each morning, we took advantage of the free pastries & coffee. We also enjoyed the drink machine, located in the office, that is available throughout the day (and early evening) and has many drink options all free:)))

SwitzerlandThe rooms and bathroom were very tiny and extremely ring-shaped. The bed was a bit hard, but for one or two nights you can live with it, as the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
The staff is perfectly friendly and supportive and the location is super, only a few minutes away from the shuttle that drives up to Universal Studios.

It was only a short walk from the Universal shuttle depot. It was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. We were also allowed to park our car earlier and check in later.

United StatesNo real or imagined issues. Got probably a little better than I expected.
Needed 1 night stay near Universal Studios, this fit the requirements perfectly! An older property but well maintained. No real criticisms. Neighborhood was OK not much around on busy street but also didn't look to hard and you have Universal City walk just a few minutes away. Hotel no more than an easy, safe 5 minute walk to Universal Studio parking structure where you pick up Tram for a short ride up a big hill to Park entrance. Tram stop was used by many people. and runs an hour or so after Park/City Walk closes. Sayid at Front Desk was exceptional. No problems with the room. Bed was firm and pillows surprising very good. Shower water pressure and temperature was very good. TV work with good channel selection. Room was quiet. Breakfast was pastries.

United StatesThere wasn’t much to dislike at the hotel. If I had to find something I guess it’s that there wasn’t much hot water for showers and the parking lot is limited but that’s pretty standard for most hotels in LA so nothing out of the ordinary.
The staff was very nice and accommodating! The hotel was clean and had all amenities. It is a great location as well.

United StatesThe only downside was that the remotes for both tvs did not work. The desk clerk wss vey kind about it and reprogramed both remotes and they worked for a little bit but they eventually stopped and after calling him twice about it, we gave up. Which is tough with 6 people in a room at night with nothing else but tv to do Also the noise level above us was bad, it sounded like the whole room waa being rearranged and it was later at night.
We liked the location of the inn, it was close to our destination and stores, food. The desk clerk was very kind upon check in and he helped us as much as he could. Overall it is a decent one night stay.

United StatesThe facilities were nice and clean. The parking is very tight. If you’re a bigger person, you might be a little trapped getting out and in your vehicle. Otherwise it’s very close to the Universal Studios. Remember, if you want to walk to the amusement park, you will have to walk up some incline, as there are hills to walk up on. Breakfast was pastries and coffee/hot chocolate.
