How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only negative thing we have is there is no elevator.
Very helpful staff. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The value for the money was good.

No complaints.
The bed was comfortable, towels soft, room very clean, and quality bath products. I would suggest more bath and hand towels, for guests who stay an extended weekend without maid service. I never quite understood what maid service we were supposed to get. So I switched out towels with the maid when I saw her. The staff was great, and the maids were lovely kind women.

First night had noisy neighbors, staff handled that situation very well. NO breakfast!
The staff at Days End in Newport Oregon were great! Helpful, listened to a problem that I had with my hotel neighbor, settled the issue, were very accomodating. I wish more hotels had staff this eager to help their customers!

The parking is very poor at this hotel. We drive a full size pickup and a very limited number of spaces were sized to accommodate our pickup and all were across the parking lot from the rooms. All spaces in front of rooms was compact size only. Plus not enough spaces for all guests.
Room was very comfortable and the bathroom was great being very roomy and having a walk in shower with protective grab bars.

Be prepared for a breakfast is very small and basic with things like cereal bars, packaged oatmeal, tea and some fruit, so many people might want to supplement that with something from elsewhere

They staff does not realize that offing Twinkies for breakfast is like a joke to many people. In some circles, Twinkies are the clear example of just junk and not really food. Muffins are more like a "light breakfast" Bagels and cream cheese are a light breakfast. Sweet rolls can sometimes be called a continental breakfast.
The staff was eager, not just willing, to be of service and accommodating.

Something to keep in mind is that the hotel is very close to Samaritan Hospital and there is quite a bit of ambulance noise at all hours of the day…especially at night. I was able to sleep fine but if you are a light sleeper that may be a little more problematic for you and your sleep.

The guy at the reception was rude. He charged me for my room that was already paid for (2 nights), not only he gave someone else’s room even though he asked for my ID. After giving back my ID he threw it at me like I was an inconvenience for him. Knowing that there were 2 of us he only gave me one room key. The reservation was for a queen bed, they gave me a full size bed.

The odd sliding door that opened to an add on above the street next to the pole sign that was lit up all night but had good black out curtains. Not an issue. Even though we were next to the main highway it was still quiet.
The room was clean and looked newly updated. The bed was great but for some reason was a little short. Nice large screen tv. Actually just a quite nice room.

We just had a view of the parking lot. Also, we were downstairs and the people above us we’re running around and moving furniture.
The staff were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.

Low level room was noisy because of the people above.
