Convenient, met my needs and I'd stay there again

Lighting in room was quite dim. Need better light bulbs in general and a lamp in the middle of the two double beds would work wonders. Found a fine hair in shower but it looks hard to clean since a no hose shower. Floors seemed a bit gritty and I didn't want to walk on them barefooted. Ther was dust on top of the dresser where the TV is which made me think the cleaning person was shorter than the dresser.

Most resort/hotel-like experience in the area and in a great location for access to the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Tsali mountbiking, Lake Fontana etc. Outstanding sunset views at top of hill. Seems like it would be an amazing wedding venue that one could book out for a big group with people staying in rooms, cabins, etc. Super convenient after hours checkin which worked fine for me. Coffee and bisquits were available in the lobby in the morning. I didn't see any staff while I was there but it was perfectly fine. Restaurant was closed "temporarily" while we were there which was surprising considering it was July 4 weekend. I wish I had had more time to enjoy the pool or visit the venue across the street which had great live music, but after a day of biking and swimming in the lake no energy. Normally I camp when I'm in the area but this is my occasional hotel go to.

Need to fix the hot water temp in the shower. Temperature never got above lukewarm. A little chilly!

Location and peaceful. King bed was very comfortable . A nice cozy deluxe suite. Staff(Wendy) was really helpful and friendly.

Staff hours only between 8:30am and 5pm so not available for requests or assistance outside those hours.

Good location, very clean and comfortable. Very nice aesthetics. Communication prior to arrival directly from staff by phone was very nice.

Please change out the guestroom carpets!

Room was roomy..had a microwave and refrigerator..ac worked well. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Property did have a dated feel to it. The carpet in the room was old ugly green. Needs to be changed out. Other than that, it was a pretty nice place. I'd probably stay there again. The pool was nice...water was a little cold. Gameroom had no a/c..was very hot. Nice views from the property. Was right on a fairly busy road.Had small coffee pot for coffee..should go to Keurig. Sausage biscuits and coffee in the lobby a nice touch..but would be nice to have breakfast. There is a great restaurant 3 miles down the road called Rivers End. Good place for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is also a cool little bar and grill right across the street for burgers and such at night. All said, not a bad place.

The girl to get breakfast out on Sat showed up at 8:20 (breakfast was supposed to be available at 8:30). I know for sure because we were out front, waiting. When I went in, at 8:30, to ask for hot water, to make my own tea, she seemed confused as to how to make hot water available to me. When I inquired as to when the free breakfast would be available, she stated she was just getting started on it and it would be at least 15-20 min. We ended up leaving and getting breakfast elsewhere. I may be old fashioned, but if you're supposed to have food available at 8:30, as an employee, you need to be there, working, more than 10 min beforehand. On Sunday, not sure if it was the owner I spoke to, but he was extremely apologetic for the previous day's disaster.

Beautiful location, quiet, wonderful supper in the restaurant, friendly people at front desk.

I was very disappointed with the room. The carpet was filthy. Stains and dirt everywhere and very visible. The bathroom sink and tub were missing the drain plugs. The toilet barely flushed. There was a sheet of plastic or vinyl tacked up behind the toilet covering the wall. There were holes all in the wallpaper where it looked like something had been mounted and removed. There was someone's used dirty hairbrush under the sink. Overall look and feel of the bedroom was that of being not kept up with cleanliness or style. It was greatly lacking after seeing the gorgeous lobby and grounds and experiencing the very nice restaurant for dinner. Also, not that we used them but the tennis courts were an eyesore. Waterfall wasn't working.

The lobby, grounds and restaurant were gorgeous. Check-in and out were easy. The restaurant was very accommodating. Food was delicious.

we really did not have much time. We checked in much later than expected and left before 7AM. Would have liked to look around in daylight hours, place looked really pretty. Did not have time for breakfast because we left before it was available. Beds, pillows, lines were nice, towels were very nice.

The bed was horrible. It sunk in the middle and the pillows were too big to sleep on. The bed was really high off the ground. They need to put a step stool beside the bed. I wish they had a more casual restaurant that served breakfast and lunch, too.

The room was awesome! We enjoyed the fireplaces.

No one present at the front desk at check-in at 5:00pm. Had to wait, and find other staff to locate someone to check us in. Called to inquire about a late checkout. There was no answer so I left a message, but got no return call. At 11:00am checkout, no one present anywhere near the front desk. Had to leave the keys behind the counter.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities, including restaurant and bar, were. The king suite with gas fireplaces, both inside and on the porch (through french doors), was very very nice.
