How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Check in staff was unprofessional and somewhat rude. Had a problem in our first room so we were moved to another, the situation was remedied rather quickly but again, somewhat unprofessionally.
Location next to Roaring Springs Water Park is absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was a very good set up with both hot and cold options. Facility was clean.

The property isn't being maintained. Lots of cigarette butts on the ground around the second outside door. This should be a family-friendly hotel, as it is right next to the Water Park. We stayed there in March and it was fine, but this time, there were a lot of bikers gathered around the front entrance smoking and using "salty" language. (We assumed they were passing through on their way to Sturgis.) The breakast could have been better for the price.
The room was comfortable.

No elevator. Outside looks kinda shabby. Room VERY small and compact.
Bed comfy and pillows were perfect! Staff accommodated us to a first floor room since no elevators. Nice breakfast. Little refrigerator, however, it worked well.

I don't really have a negative comment. The hotel is old. It has been there for a long time. It doesn't sparkle. It feels dated because it is. I found it to be clean and comfortable not fancy,. Therfore, I felt it to be priced accordingly. I would stay here again.
The breakfast was good. I had the eggs, sausage and potatoes. They were all hot. There were plenty of other options to choose if you did not want a hot breakfast. The location is good. Even though it's just off the interstate I was not bothered by interstate noise. I turned the room fan on while sleeping to create some white noise. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Bathroom too cramped. Toilet had trouble flushing completely. I requested bed to be made and they didn't do it at all.

The stairs and hall were pretty dirty; wasn’t vacuumed at all during my stay.

If you’re looking to save on breakfast costs, don’t bank on the free breakfast. The eggs and sausage were burnt, the coffee was out of order, and there wasn’t any fruit.
The rooms were comfortable and a great deal for our quick trip.

The cleaning staff was lacking. I filled out the hanger for the cleaning staff and nothing was done including no linens. The next day when cleaning staff did come in the bathroom sink hadn't been clean and the floors weren't swept. I got a broom and did it myself.
The bed was comfortable and the heat unit was really quiet from other hotels that I have stayed in. The staff that I did have contact with were simply amazing!

I know check in is 3pm but we were there at 12 something and she charged us to check in early. I’ve never experienced that unless trying to check IN before check out time. If the rooms ready, why not just assign it? This isn’t Vegas Also, the pool is kind of awkward. Maybe a Cpl umbrellas or something would make it more inviting. It’s put in the middle of the parking lot. We booked this hotel specific for the outdoor pool but instead just went to the water park for the day

Facilities need an overhaul. Cracking and dirty tile in the bathrooms, wall cracks, and other little isms that indicate poor maintenance. Breakfast was cheap and low effort, not unsurprising. It was food enough to start my morning, nothing more.
Staff were very friendly at the desk, kind and attentive to the breakfast area as well. Decent enough place to stay. Never felt unsafe, very close to where I spent my time (Meridian Speedway).
