Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was a line of about 10 couples when checking in. No room to go anywhere. Only 1 working elevator to go to the 3rd floor and the second day there both elevators to go to floors L-3 were broken. Had to take the stairs. The waitresses for breakfast were pretty rude. Still haven’t received my $100 deposit back and I checked out on the 25th of August. It’s now September 4th.
Was pretty, and clean, good setup- on the quiet side which is a plus.

GermanyThe reception area is really small and gets easily crowded The lobby is a bar and had live DJs, which is generally nice, but doesn't allow to have a normal conversation as it is really, really loud
Friendly staff, good location, indoor basketball court I have asked to decorate the room for an anniversary as a surprise and the staff did really a great job!!!

United StatesThe rooms were extremely small and the layout made it uncomfortable for more than one person to stay in a “double” room. Also there were gnats everywhere!! Esp in the bathroom/shower area which was unpleasant!

United StatesThe elavators were a bit inconsistent but nothing to ruin the stay.
This location was amazing for our stay, very close to the Brooklyn bridge and great views. The staff were amazing, we ran into issues with our key cards but they had the engineer Will come up immediately to resolve and he was a joy to interact with.

United StatesThe hotel has no lobby. When we arrived, the tiny reception area directly in front of the elevators was jammed with people waiting to check out and others coming off the elevators with all their luggage adding to the confusion. There was never more than one working elevator during our stay. And Sunday when we left both elevators were out of service.
The staff, especially at reception, was cordial, responsive, and cheerful. The location, specifically proximity to the Seaport and adjacent neighborhoods, is good. It was a different experience to stay that far downtown for us. Pleasantly quiet down there on Saturday and Sunday.

United Stateswaiting in line for 45 minutes for check in, and the broken elevators from ground level to the lobby. Throughout our day, only one was working and then the second broke too.
I liked the basketball court and the gym, as well as the floor to ceiling windows, and the view from our room.

CanadaNothing I didn't like....our stay was perfect for the money. There is no parking at the hotel so we ended up paying a LOT of $ to park our car ($300 CDN for 4 days) but this has nothing to do with the hotel and it's amenities.
We were on the 19th floor with a nice view of the city. Staff was friendly, rooms were cozy but very nice and clean, location was excellent, we didn't eat or drink at the cafe bar but it looked very nice (you get $15 food/beverage credit per day). There was some sort of entertainment every night of the week. We also got free bike rentals (unfortunately we didn't use them) and a free excursion to the Statue of Liberty cruise with VIP seating, free drinks and cookies and no lineup which was amazing!!

ItalyThe door at the entrance, it's a very heavy door and need to push it everytime we entered. There is NO cabinet/closet in the room. We hung our dresses on the wall. And the table and chairs are folded. The reception hallway and desk. For a hotel of Marriott Bonvoy, it must be spacious and not with a tiny table with 2 laptops only. Our room key didn't work many times started our first night, August 15. We went to the reception back and forth but didn't receive a nice solution. The following morning ,August 16 it happened again, so I went to the reception to ask what they can do. And the guy made an immediate solution. He offered us a late check out. And he sent an engineer to our room to fix the issue. It was the battery problem and he changed it.
The proximity to metro stations, Brooklyn Bridge, World Trade Center, Financial District and supermarkets with just few minutes of walking. Paola who served our breakfast for 3 consecutive days is very welcoming and available. The lounge bar at the 3rd floor is entertaining

United KingdomIt should all be good but there were flaws, very little space to hang clothes, slow elevators, sleepy service, poorly understood credit system for food and bevs daily. And some good and some poor food. Ie worst cream cheese bagel in NYC, but good waffles. Music too loud to talk on the bar and a shrug when we left...
Great location and laid back vibe. No notable noise transfer between rooms.

GermanyThe shower could use a deep clean to remove hard stains and mold. The morning staff at the restaurant always served us the food/drinks to go (in paper bags and cups), as if we were on the run. We noticed other guests sitting at the bar and who ordered the same thing as us, were given plates and glasses. When asking if we could change, the staff member who served us looked annoyed. Working in hospitality is maybe not her thing, she never had a smile on her face.
Good and safe location, quiet room to get good sleep, all the staff at the front desk was very nice, especially Ben who welcomed us. The resort fee includes bike rental, tickets for the ferry, and a 15$/day voucher you can use at the restaurant.

CanadaI have been waiting for more than two week for someone to answer me about some charges, the after the fact customer service is not good, the experience should be good even after the trip is completed.
The location is really good, the place was clean and the bar and the games was nice thing to do if you did not want to leave the hotel.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast was nice! But there’s a catch re cost. So be warned! You get to order one item from the menu. You can add to that with apparently a $15 supplement per room. Coffee is included but not a latte. You pay $8 from your supplant for that. As a result (as portions aren’t big), breakfast can cost quite a lot more. So to say breakfast is included needs some better clarification. Extra room charges (we only had a couple drinks charged to our rooms) and these breakfast charges were eventually charged at $200 per room despite check out telling me they were about $70 or so. I still have not been emailed a final invoice despite requesting one 5 days after our visit and charges appeared on my bank. In fact the hotel has not replied to any of my messages for that time. Be careful of these extra charges! It’s not clear with this $15 supplement you get what if applies to!!!!
The hotel was in a great situation. Rooms were clean and modern although quite small. Staff were really friendly although check in was delayed (room not ready!) and check out I wasn’t offered either a paper or emailed invoice outlining my extra room charges. It’s a nice hotel but I think next time I’d stay somewhere where description of ‘breakfast included’ is more accurate. Only partly included - if you have 2 teenage children!!

IsraelThe elevator smelled like cigarettes even though it's a non-smoking hotel
Great location, pretty friendly staff, the bar floor with a large sitting area, free games, and a small basketball court make it perfect for indoor activities between outdoor ones and in a bad weather day. They are also very kind with little surprises, like $15 daily balance for food/drinks.

United StatesA little too tight in the room for my personal liking. Use of vertical space in the room like pegs on the wall was helpful.
Location, vibe, great staff. Front desk was great under pressure. They are given 2 work stations in a tiny space to try to check in and out an extraordinary amount of people at times. Not to mention call for cabs, answer questions, give directions etc. They were very nice in spite of the stressful conditions and I was impressed by that.
