Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe screen fell out of the window when the wind blew. I messaged the hosts but never got a response. We went and found it 3 stories down. The smell of air fresheners plugged in was overwhelming and made me sick. With the allergies to artificial scents and perfumes nowadays you would think these would not be present. The oil in the oil and vinegar supplied was empty so we had to go buy some to cook. The arrangement of the TV and couch left you with a stiff neck,. There was nowhere to hang wet bathroom towels so we had to hang them on chairs around the apartment, and on the day we were leaving I received a message at 10am asking if there was anything we needed, and that staff was available all day every day. I'm not sure where the said staff was?? We were in an apartment building and never saw or heard from anyone. I just want to mention I paid premium pricing for a "luxury apartment".
The beds were comfortable and it was clean.

United States1 roll toilet paper, Apt 3rd floor not stated. 2 beds not 3 as stated. No wash clothes. 1 towel p/p for a week. Did not bring an air mattress as promised. Told to get one myself the next day. Codes did not work upon arrival. Shower leaked water across floor. No dish cloth. Minimum dishes, had to wash after use to have another cup, glass or plate. 2 teaspoons. I think you get the idea we were very very disappointed in our stay.

United StatesStaying in upstate New York in the middle of winter, it should not be a battle to keep the heat on yet the thermostat has a mind of its own and always lowers temperature on its own (or done remotely). The entry pin pad on the door to get into the location is located too close to the video doorbells of the other tenants of this house, and if your hands are slightly large you'll be ringing doorbells without the intention of doing so. This same pin pad left me stranded outside one morning because its batteries died. And despite my email inbox getting blown up by emails from the owner of the place stating "text us anytime if you have any questions", I texted them on three different occasions and NO ONE EVER RESPONDED. I did not get a response until I called twice back to back when I was stranded outside the house. The apartment itself has extremely thin walls, so prepare to sit in the living room and listen to the passing traffic on busy State Street, as if you were sitting on the front porch. If a heavy enough vehicle passes by or has loud enough music, you will also feel the vibrations in the apartment. The apartment seemed clean but really needed better sweeping and mopping. A broom is provided, but it should also have a mop to be able to clean the floors properly since the snow and ice will be tracked inside. In addition, the apartment has a certain funk. It may be due to the downstairs neighbors and their culinary preferences, but sometimes it did just smell in there. In addition to this, when throwing the trash out, the trash can on the side of the house IS WAY TOO SMALL FOR 3-4 HOUSEHOLDS TO ALL THROW THEIR TRASH INTO THIS SINGLE CONTAINER. Several times I went to go throw trash out and the trash can was full, having to leave trash bags next to the can as was past its capacity. One time, the trash can had been blown over by the wind and it's contents were thrown about.
Comfortable bed. Spacious restroom and shower. Fully stocked kitchen with utensils, cookware, plates and such. Affordable. Nice television in living room. Nice gesture to leave chip bags upon entry.
