    Friendly staff but outdated hotel

Hotel is outdated and not really like the hotels. Our room had a strange odour. We arrived late and just wanted to go to sleep. We did mention it the next day and they tried to get rid of the smell (opening windows). It did get rid of it slightly. We were offered another room but had so many things and wanted to use our time to see the sights of NY.

Good location for Times Square and very friendly staff. Good amount of lifts.

Upon check in I was told our room type wasn’t available. Deluxe room on a high floor with 2 queen beds. So they “upgraded us) to a king room with a pull out with a Times Square view. (Not an upgrade). The view was had blocked and the pullout bed was horrible. We had to sleep 3 I. The kink and 1 on the couch not pulled out. Bad experience overall.

    Good location.

The room was not cleaned well. There was a lot of hair in the sink that made it unable to drain. There was also visible dirt in corners and the floor did not feel clean at all. The walls had marks and stains.

The location was very centrally located to Broadway theaters and many subway stops with a lot of connections.

There was no mini fridge in the room. That put a huge damper on our trip. There was a cabinet that looked to have one previously and it had been removed. I didn't have time to bring it to the attention to staff during our short two night stay, I have two small kids so we ended up not having leftovers of all their unfinished meals out. For what we paid, and having stayed there myself (many years ago) I didn't think to check if minifridges were amongst included amenities. I've never had a hotel - listed as 4 stars at that - not have one included. The lobby didn't have any queue lines set up for the baggage check. Given the limited space, that was chaotic and also blocked lobby doors. Having a queue set up to the right of the desk in the alcove so that it was out of the way of the doors seems like a better utilization of space to me and less of a fire/emergency hazard. There were signs that said there was a teddy bear (alfred program) or something else for kids that stayed. We received no such special treats for the kids. Other than the one wonderful front desk staff member who blew bubbles upon check in. I'm not one to ask for additional things, if it's not included in reservations that state there are children - either list the ages if there's a cut off, remove the signage or mention of it on the millenium website, or have front desk staff about it during check in if children are part of a reservation. Make it easy to be a customer.

The location is amazing in it's proximity to broadway shows and timesquare is unmatched. Staff member with the wonderful butterfly beard, that had a bubble machine upon check in with my kids and engaged with them was an absolute delight.

In my opinion, the check in should be available a bit earlier with respect to 4pm.

The hotel is close to some of the main attractions of NYC, such as the library and times square. The room was large and well maintaned. The staff was kind.

Needed maintenance as there was clear wear and tear around, the toilet was leaking sometimes and the layout of the bedroom was not optimal, plus the sink plug only worked when manually operated (i.e. latch did not work). Curtains were not properly pulling across so had to use chairs to keep them closed.

Could have stayed longer. Location ideal for exploring New York. Only a few minutes from the nearest metro station, so moving around was easy.

Beautiful hotel just off Times Square. Staff friendly and facilities adequate for the location and length of stay.

Pretentious guy at reception with a beard with butterflies on it who was intense because I asked for the coffee maker I already had paid for via Booking, and he replied that Starbucks are in the corner. They did however brought me a coffee maker afterwards. Of course I shouldn't as a client get into the process of asking for something I already paid for. Also the carpet had 3 big stains, some furniture were old and broken and shower wasn't working at my arrival and had to call twice for engineering to come and replace it which delayed me for 2 hours from activities I had booked, as I needed to have a shower first. These things should be checked by management prior arrival of guests and should be all working.

    Amazing and convenient location
