Very little to dislike. If I was being picky the room was a bit small but this is to be expected in a guest house.

This Inn is the quintessential Hamptons stay. We absolutely loved it and we were disappointed we didn’t stay here longer. The building is beautiful and styled in the typical Hamptons style architecture. The big porch was lovely to have breakfast on or to relax on with a drink after a day out. The location is magnificent with East Hampton village centre just a 2 minute walk away. It is a perfect base to explore the Hamptons from. Another big bonus of staying here is that they provide the beach parking permits. The staff were excellent, so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. They were very informative about the local area and gave us some great tips for restaurants and things to do. We would consider Mill House Inn our first choice for when we ever return to the Hamptons and could not recommend it more.

The room was a little on the small side with limited plug sockets and the only mirror was in the bathroom.

The location was excellent and the room very comfortable. The staff were friendly and happy to help. A snack bar offering a huge range of sweets, nuts and freshly baked cookies was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

We arrived to a lovely welcome from Dawn. After a bad experience the night before at another location Dawn and Kenny upgraded us to the next level suite. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfy .The location of the INN was perfect and overlooked a nice green and was in a very quiet area. Breakfast was great and Kenny showed us around the other rooms including the master suites which were stunning . A lovely stay and we will definitely stay again if we are in the area again.

Highway Robbery - The Worst Motel - NOT Luxury AT ALL
    • Business trip
    • Group
    • Room Seven - Not Pet-Friendly
    • Stayed 4 nights

This is NOT a luxury hotel at all. It is egregious that they are charging $1600/night for a motel with very dated rooms and frustrating customer service. Having traveled extensively globally, I'm shocked by the rave reviews for this motel. The place was neither charming nor welcoming. From the unnecessarily complicated process for booking breakfast to never cleaning our musty guest room to locking the water refrigerator at night to stale snacks and tepid water for tea, I do not recommend this place at all. The process to book breakfast is unnecessarily complicated and laughable. You must book the night before with breakfast starting late at 8am and only offered in 15 min increments. God forbid you come downstairs without booking to an empty dining room and get lectured for not following the process when you only want yogurt and toast. It felt like we were on candid camera every morning. The chef was the only bright light in our always frustrating morning interactions. We bonded with the other hotel guests who just rolled their eyes and shared their stories of their frustrating poor experience. I'm infuriated that I shelled out $1600/night for this run down motel. Highway robbery. Do not stay here.

Location - I could escape to other places and not spend a minute here beyond sleeping

Nothing! Everything was perfect. Our train was delayed and they allowed us to have a late checkout so we wouldn't be stranded. It felt like we were staying with friends.

The service was impeccable! Not only was the space beautiful and clean, the staff went the extra mile to make us feel special. We were visiting East Hampton for Mother's Day Weekend and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Nothing to complain about! All good!

Ken and Dawn were exceptionally friendly hosts. Very helpful with local attractions and options for our stay in the area. The Mill House Inn is walking distance to a charming downtown and a short drive to Sag Harbor and the Eastern End of LI. Chef Taylor provided a delightful breakfast, made to order with a fine selection that would exceed anyone's expectations for the morning repast. Fresh brewed coffee, omelettes, fruit+yogurt, oatmeal...anything that you can delight with.

I would like to have a bigger closet to store the cloths, but thats not a big issue.

First of all we liked the set-up of the Inn, in a nice garden. The house has an ancient vibe and breaths a warmhearted spirit. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast in very yummy and has just something different than the usual. All day availability of cold and warm drinks and snacks, including the famous cookies. The bedroom is small but extremely cosy, with the surplus of an "open" fire place.
