How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The sink drained a bit slow and the shower was extremely slippery, yes I know it’s a shower but it felt very slick.
the location was good, the staff was all nice and the rooms were much cleaner then I expected. This was a great value and I’d definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was carb heavy, mostly pre-packaged food. Offering a few more options like fruit and eggs would be welcome for people who don't want to consume lots of carbs and sugar for their breakfast... Rooms are not well insulated. We heard our neighbor's TV all night, which was less than ideal.
Convenient location just off the interstate. Rooms have new bedding and interiors, and are quite large. So these made it comfortable for an overnight stay. Rooms are also equipped with coffee machine, fridge and microwave, which we used. Ice machine was also a plus.

I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t have regular sodas. All were Zero! Didn’t have milk. Didn’t have shampoo, conditioner & bath soap in dispenser in shower. Breakfast were So So. Didn’t eat there.
Convenient to resturants & shopping& easy to drive to off of freeway. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable.

Room was very small. We had queen with sitting. We were there for a week so it was very tight. I should have read description better and got the bigger room.
The facility was clean, bed comfortable and fresh towels daily. Breakfast was basic but good. Staff was very nice and helpful. The

Breakfast could have been better. A little more variety would be nice. And should have two waffle makers, but at least they had one. The options were biscuits and gravy cold cereal oatmeal muffins/toast/bagels and waffles.
The price was reasonable and it included breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Overall clean. Would definitely stay again.

They told me upon check in they would place a $100 hold on my card. I agreed. Today they charged me the full amount and the $100 was $215. I called and asked questions about it and was told it could come back in 3-10 business days. I am extremely unhappy with this.
The staff members were all very friendly and willing to answer all questions. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable.

Could have used a comfortable chair in the room and needed an iron. Not a fan of the pegs in the wall to hang clothes on.

The breakfast was ok, the pool was small but luckily most of the time we were the only ones there swimming.

Room AC was noisy but got accustomed to it. A little pricy for pets.
Pet friendly, friendly staff, close area to take the pugs out for their business, elevator equipped from 2nd floor pet room, good breakfast and centrally located for Custer State Park, downtown Rapid City attractions, Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. A good 5 night stay though I recommend 5 full days there.

This was the perfect room for our family. Very comfortable beds & a good location. Housekeeping went above our expectations; giving us fresh towels daily & making beds with the kid's personal blankets.

The neighborhood was quiet, room was spacious, breakfast was basic. We liked the windowsill turned into a bench. It helped because room only had one chair.
