How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

That I was put in a dirty room that had not been cleaned, the bed was not changed or made up and the floors were nasty, and my fridge did not work, the bathroom was dirty. The 3rd floor smelled just like weed

When we arrived the girl at desk was extremely rude! We had booked with booking.com and she 1st said we owed an additional fee.After showing the receipt she then said she found it.We had requested a a joint room online she informed us that since we hadn’t book directly she couldn’t do that I then asked if we could have the same floor and she advised that she also couldn’t do that. Since we didn’t book directly. When we entered The room it was dirty the floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in weeks. Air conditioning worked about half. When we asked on day 2 for fresh towels at the front desk after turning in the used ones we were told we could only have fresh towels on day 3. That was policy but since they had our old ones they would save us some cause there were no clean ones at that time. which they did !The pool was scary looked like it was not properly maintained and the breakfast was gone by 7:45 we were told they put some out and that was all they don’t refill anything even when breakfast was to be till 9am. Door to back parking area on 1st floor was broke.So anyone guess or not could enter .The halls and elevator smelled like weed most of our stay. So much for no smoking policy. When we checked out we waited almost 10 mins for someone to come to desk,then was told “Ok “no ,thanks, hope you had a good stay sorry for your wait overall this stay was horrible if I could of left and been able to get refunded I would have at check-in!

Verified reviewThe exterior door to the property didn’t lock. Anyone could walk in at any time. Room door didn’t close appropriately either. Had to yank on it to get the lock to catch. Dirty sheets and blankets. Bug in bed when sheets turned down. Bathroom smelled like urine.

Dirty Noisy - lots of families with young children let their kids run up and down the hallways screaming excessively. We repeatedly asked for things like trash, can, a room clean etc and our room didn't get cleaned and we never received the trashcan.

The front desk young lady ( not the manager) was very rude and didn’t have front desk customer service skills. We were going to leave and find another motel because of her attitude, but we talked to the manager and she was very kind and we stayed the three day.

Verified reviewTwo of the three rooms we had smelled of cigarette smoke, couldn’t change rooms, hallways smelled of pot. The continental breakfast wasn’t that great. The employee working the front desk during the day was not very pleasant, could use some customer service training.

Verified reviewThe location is near everything you could possibly need.
Room was filthy, food and crumbs all over the floor. Someone's pubic hair was all over the bathtub, trash bags were thrown on the floor and the side of the can. Not one time was I offered a new room! And we reported to the front desk about everything including someone smoking and the smell was coming into the bathroom, she said it was fine it happens all the time. Unsure what has occurred in a year but last year this place was clean, staff was amazing, now its is unacceptable and very unprofessional!
