How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Just minor flaw. Maybe house cleaning missed a few spots. Noticed some crumbs on the desk table, women’s hair on the bathroom floor and they forgot to empty the trash can prior to me checking in. Just had a few pieces of tissue in it.
Location close to airport and shuttle to and from provided.

We didn't really appreciate: 1. the AC - it was a bit noisy at times, and the sound was amplified at nights 2. the ability to hear other guests - the barriers between the rooms are not soundproof, so unfortunately, we could hear one of the guests next to us who spoke very loudly and the TV on both sides of us 3. the odor in the hallway - on one or two occasions, we got a poopy/foul scent while in the hallway, which possibly came from the bathroom vents
We really appreciated: 1. the location - it was quiet, safe, and close to the airport, restaurants, strip malls as well as a bus stop; buses pass every 30 minutes 2. the airport transfers - a free shuttle goes to the airport and returns every 30 minutes 3. the pleasant staff - we especially loved Michel and his Haitian countryman who served us at breakfast; they were very pleasant and attentive 4. the buffet breakfast - there were enough choices not to get tired of them during our 7-day stay 5. the bed and pillow - we felt like were sleeping on a cloud 6. the view - we had a spectacular view of the lagoon and pool

We arrived late because of flight delays. We were pre-paid for 2 rooms. Upon arrival the clerk at the desk told us our rooms were booked to other guests and they tried to offer us 1 room for our group. When I declined, we were told to wait to see if they could find our rooms. After 30 minutes they found our rooms. It was an unnecessary delay, especially at 10:30pm
The property was clean and well kept. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable

My only complaint is there was mold in the tub/shower upon arrival. Housekeeping took care of it, though.
The pool and bar area are wonderful. The staff was exceptional. The restaurant and food was great. The hotel is grounds and decor are top notch. We really enjoyed our stay.

I am vegan, and have been so for 29 years. Therefore, more vegan options on the breakfast buffet would have been nice. The bathroom toilet (Room 0811) was inconsistent, in terms of flushing. The flow was very low and at times didn't really flush. The water pressure in the shower can be higher. As well, the temperature of the water in the shower can be a little hotter.
The staff members were very pleasant and helpful. Although there are a few critiques, as below, the room overall was really nice. Love the suite. The lobby and lounging areas are excellent. The lobby view, overlooking the pool and lake (water retention) are superb. The grab n go food area/market came in handy.

The waiter at the restaurant double checked my eligibility for breakfast in front of all the customers. I felt awkward, like I was some kind of scammer. Room 1122.

Room was basic but fine.
We needed to stay near the airport as we were picking a car up from the following morning. There was a free airport shuttle, which was great. The room was basic but comfortable, and breakfast was good. The price was reasonable for what we needed. I would stay again if needed to be near the airport. We did not use the pool or any other facilities.

The property does need some slight upgrades as far as the decor. The outlet definitely need to be fixed.
