Maybe a magnifying mirror in the bathroom?

Location was great, McMenamins has a unique style which was great for our cozy room. Bathroom was roomy and the shower worked well. Staff was friendly and they have bikes! Good time had by both of us.

The bed was too hard and for some reason the A/C wouldn't stay on. The TV sound setting was too low, which was at maximum sound.

The room was very nice, the staff was friendly. The location was great and the food was good.

Would have been great to have a fridge in the room over a T.V. We bought some smoked salmon in Astoria and had some dinner leftovers. Luckily we had a small cooler and got some ice from the lobby.

It was unsettling to read about the potential for loud golf course maintenance activities as early as 0500, but then I noticed the earplugs in the bedside drawer.

The room was just wonderful. Not modern, but very tasteful vintage-ish furnishings. Exceptionally agreeable restaurant staff (I brought a bottle of wine from my personal wine cellar in another state).

It was a great, unique, eclectic hotel! The staff was personable and professional. Very helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable We had multiple meals and all were very good.

Not a lot to do in area unless you enjoy golf.

Not much in the way facilities like swimming pool , theater , or what most of the other property have (although a tv was provided in the room )

Situated in a great location next to the ocean , this quiet sleepy area has a calming relaxing energy to it , I especially loved the area and the rest I got from staying there , the golf course is a definite must play , straight down wind course not to difficult for most , but each to their own, I did venture out to the town of seaside nice little town nice shops around and places to eat , recommend checking it out , I would stay here again and do recommend this property.

No plugs near the head of the bed - I use a CPAP machine, and like to charge my phone next to my bed. I had to pull the bed away from the wall and unplug the lamp to plug my two devices in. We had a hard time heating the room, which was pretty cold when we arrived. Could hear our neighbors loud and clear through the walls. We suspect that was why earplugs are offered in the nightstands?

We liked the location, the restaurant, the coffee service by the elevators in the morning. The bed was very comfortable. Charming ambiance, friendly staff.

The bed was a bit soft for both of us.

Great place to stay. The room was very quiet and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed having a place to eat at the same location. Best fish tacos I've ever had.

While I appreciate the ability to bring my pet along for the experience, the $30 pet fee is excessive, especially per night.

loved the decor/art, the grounds and aesthetics, the secret art room was rad. Even tho McMenamins are a chain, the hotel feels very unique

Our breakfast waitress was so unfriendly we got stressed out and then and the ruined egg Benedict and lack of coffee was a deal breaker.

The service was OK, but it took a long time for us to get our food. Maybe they were shorthanded on cooks that day. Also, there were no tea bags at the coffee station, but the nice gal at the check-in desk went in the back and brought out a whole teapot just for me. Now that's going the extra mile to satisfy your customer. (I wish I knew her name so I could give her kudos.)

Both the check-in and check-out process were quick and easy. All the food was good.

There wasn’t anything that I did not like. And to get away from the heat in Portland for 30° cooler was perfect!

The room was nice and cool and very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. And the food was delicious. The view of golf course while having breakfast was fabulous! It was also nice to come down in the morning to options of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

It was all a bit confusing at/after check-in -- shuttle to sand trap? Pub? Annex? Ice machine in annex would have been nice.
